If so how do you explain the Myth of Horus and the fact that it directly parallels the ideas about Jesus including Virgin birth and ressurection. Did you know that there are over 15 stories that parallel that of Jesus but were written before his time? Did you know that the idea of the Virgin and the Sun(son) {of} God, Dec 25th , Easter et cetera all came from astrology and the stars? If you are willing and able to think for yourself watch this movie and tell me what you think. Zeitgeistmovie.com

I doubt most of them have ever taken a course in mythology.

I once asked something like this and someone actually said they would try to correct their teacher about the bible, telling them it was true and not a myth...talk about rude!

Here's the deal.In the Bible at the table of nations chapter 11 or 12 I think. Nimrod is mentioned.Nimrod ruled the whole area from Babylon west. At his death he was deified as the sun god. His wife Semeramis claimed that she had been impregnated by a ray of Nimrod's sunlight(She had a kid too long after his death for ir to be his)That is the virgin birth deal. His name was Tamuz (Horus) .He was killed and (so the story goes) a crocodile pushed an egg to Semiramis and Tamuz stepped out of it to be Re-Born.
So Nimrod became Ra (also Baal) Semiramis becomes Isis( also Ishtar where we get the word Easter from) the Queen of heaven(Where we get that deification of Mary in the catholic church).Tamuz becomes the risen one.
It is all a Satanic deception because Satan knew what was coming in 2 B.C. at the birth of Christ.
He is still trying to make Mary equal to Jesus.Pope Paul fell for it.
The gods are the same ,the names change with the cultures.

alongside with the Bible, there are all the Christian communities which all of us understand existed very presently after Jesus's crucifiction. And bear in mind that previous the gospel, the Bible includes countless letters to those communities, that have been broadly circulated on the time. there's a stable little bit of historic past with regard to the apostles after the dying of Jesus. St. Peter's in Rome is outfitted over Peter's bones. I hate to tell you this, yet extremely some what all of us understand approximately historic historic past has lots much less info than that.

Do you know how Horus was born? He was born by Isis putting parts of Osiris back together and no one knows if Isis was still a virgin and if she was it was no significant matter in Egyptian mythology.
Did you know that Jesus wasn't born on December 25 but sometime in July( the exact date eludes me)

EDIT: Isis put parts of Osiris back together again and thats how she became pregnant and Horus was born in a papyrus thicket
Reedit: Also in the battle of Typhon and Horus , Horus was the victor not Typhon as incorrectly stated in the Zeitgeist movie

Well, actually, the things that occured in the gospels were
prophesied and the religious people of the day did
not recognize it. It is all very much different.
There are bits of truth in all religion/culture/myth because these things were known (including by Satan) from the begining of time...
Jesus is very unique in the way he was both human
and devine, a real person, and raised from the dead.

Yes, I have. God reveals the same thing to his children, yesterday, today and tomorrow. From the foundation of the world and in the very beginning he made known his purposes to mankind, including Christ's birth, life and resurrection. It is no wonder that these ancient myths have some element of truth in them as they were corrupted versions of the original.

Jesus' followers used revisionist history when writing about him, to make sure that all the prophecies from the Old Testament were fulfilled.
