whats the point of it people say stop someking but they still sellign tobacco.

People do not sell tobacco except as clerks at the store. Tobacco is sold by huge multi-national corporations with pockets so deep they are easily able to bribe government at all levels. Even Clinton took the tobacco company funding in exchange for allowing tobacco to continue to be sold unfettered in the US. Right now China is just beginning a lung cancer epidemic because smoking there is so widespread.

According to statistics provided by the Beijing Tumour Prevention and Treatment Research Office, in 2003, the rate of lung cancer among all types of cancers rose to 28 per cent, as compared to 18 per cent in 1977. That means there is one lung cancer patient among every four patients with a malignant tumor.
Wang Jie, director of the No 2 Internal Medicine Department of the Beijing Tumour Hospital, rates smoking as the number one reason leading to lung cancer.

There are about 600,00 people in the tobacco industry that count on it for their income. Have you even been in the South, Kentucky, these states, they thrive on the tobacco industry.
Some states pay their entire police departments on the taxes from tobacco, some pay their entire work force off the tobacco industry. Until they find ways to make money from other means, there will always be a tobacco industry.
It's like the people of South America. They make drugs because it supports their families, until we find ways to help them find other means of surviving, they'll keep doing it.

Because a lot of people are still willing to pay for it. Where there is money to be made, greedy people will take advantage of it. Even though it's well known that smokin tobacco is bad for your health.

because tobacco isn't illegal and it's a hugh cash crop for a ton of people. if no one bought tobacco, then there wouldn't be a need for it.
