Out side the hummimg of lawn mowers sing harmony. My oldest has settled down with a book to read. My youngest will be swimming at preschool right now. He is tan and fit, so that his easy smile shines the brighter. My woman is the soft warm breeze of summer itself, that blows through me.
This morning the rabbit who is our unofficial pet had come to play in the rhubarb. No doubt the arrogant squirrels that have colonized our maples will be dancing around the yard. It is a yard that needs a trim, tonight? Maybe, but my paintbrushes are getting dusty, maybe not yard work tonight.
The sun is hot, and has made the world lazy, but no time for laziness when the family calls and there is art to be made. Then there will be fall with cooking, bright leaves, long walks, and a the smell of woodsmoke. Winter will come and give its blanket and a peacefulness in which to rest and reflect. Then the explosion of spring will lead us back to the singing mowers of summer.
Is it enough, could my heart hold more, are fairies or angels required?

Anything is possible Jeanmarie, but what you suggest is very unlikely.
And yes, my woman (not what I'd call soft) is more than I ever thought I could ever find.

No we couldn't hold more. Could we teach it though? I think Christ, like King and Ghandi wanted everyone to experience those things. The drive of an overpowering higher purpose, that lacks vision has been mostly used to destroy. The spirit is an all consuming desire to save. Our spirit has a lesser drive. We can put it all into ourselves, our families and in all our relations and have the same affect of being saviours. Our examples changes the world. Our attitude, for better or worse, goes around the world like a good joke or a virus. We all play our part one way or the other. Supporting religion right now is dubious, but spirituality is still acceptable and productive so far. If the good of everyone is our goal, the good life, then all we understand of all the disciplines and what they are finding today, we will show us where it's all going and have a clearer idea of where we fit in the scheme of things, the big picture. Knowledge is power, when understood of course. I don't believe that we are not important, but that we all are crucial. A mind shift is going on because of all the discoveries and we are part of it without even knowing it. All along the line, though, the more we know the better, because there is more to know. The ability to develop our genius and our humanity is here and our kids need to know. How does that fit into the question? You can see when you get on the mountain top and no one need say a word.

I'm glad you are enjoying the waning summer days. I know I am as well.
Is that enough? Well, you have to ask yourself that question. For me, it would not be. For without the assurance of eternal life, I would be burdened by the realization that this is as good as it will ever be, and that it can all disappear in a blink of an eye, never to be seen again.
I have lost a child already. Of the 5 I have left, odds are something terrible will befall them and I worry about that. I also am assured that no matter what, God loves me and my children. That this short time on Earth is but a speck compared to what awaits me; an eternity with the ones I love.

Is it enough?
What is the reason you are here in the R/S section? Is it to enlighten us believers or is there another reason?
Does the viewing of a non-creation, complete accident fill your soul?
Does your soft women fulfill every need?
Is the wind that blows through you cool enough like cold drink on a hot summer day enough, or will you thirst again?
Is it possible that a creator gave you the talent to make art out of globs of paint and a brush?
Is it possible that a creator made you to pro-create and give you as a gift the capacity for love of your children? Like he loves you?
Is it possible?

That is really nice.
Our lives actually sound quite similar. . . .kids and loving spouse who help make our world go around. And, how fleeting but beautiful our time on this earth is. There are days I wish I could simply push pause and just let it all soak in.
Your words carry much meaning to them and they are written so well.
Despite popular belief I am a Christian who very much enjoys this life and love. : )

I like that 'my woman' quote - I'm going to try that on my wife tonight.
From Black, a little quote from a great song 'It's a wonderful, wonderful life.'
But your heart is built for more. It can hold more. Fairies and angels need to apply, because the craving in the heart needs more. Everyone has that sense. It is a craving, in my view, from our beginning - we crave to know our Creator!
Your question is well written, and reads well.

Very idyllic and poetic. You're a very lucky man.
Jesus Christ is not offered to fill an empty hole in your life. That isn't the point of His life. He was sacrificed to pay the price for the sins of men; yours, mine and everyone else's. If you've ever told a lie, God sees you as a liar. If you've ever lusted after a woman to whom you were not married, God sees you as an adulterer. If you've ever hated someone, you are a murderer in God's eyes. His standard is perfection and absolutely no one can reach it alone... so Jesus came to take the penalty for our sins on Himself. He paid the price so that we can be forgiven.
In all that splendor, take a few moments alone to examine your heart and recognize your sins. Repent of your sins (undertake not to do them any more) and place your absolute faith and trust in Jesus Christ as your sole justification before God on judgement day and you will be saved and given eternal life in heaven as a free gift which you could never in a million years earn from a perfectly righteous, perfectly just God.
God has clearly blessed you with a very nice life. Have you thanked Him for it?

God works things out for good.

I've seen miracles occur as a direct result of prayer.

Praise God for his wonderful creation.
Yes it could. Fairies or angels are not required, but the love of Jesus Christ is. With Jesus in your heart all of his creation is magnified even more.
