Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? then is he impotent? Is he able, but not willing? then is he malevolent? Is he both able and willing? whence then is evil?

God works through each of us individually. So he is willing AND able to prevent evil, all it takes is our effort. Evil is the result of our turning away from God
God does not prevent evil by striking down the sinners, or forcing us to do His will. If God did that, then we would lose our freedom and choice to follow Him. That would be true malevolence. We are not slaves of God, we are His Children.

God has a master plan to find out who are the truly good people and separate them from the really evil people.

Of course since Adam's since there are no really good people, but God's plan allows those who want to be good, can be cleansed and saved from evil.

Of course while the plan is complete, the implementation is not. So for a while it might seem like God isn't doing anything about evil, He really is.

We just need to be more patient.

Consider Thomas Aquinas' insights in Question 22 of the "Summa Theologica." There is also a survey of Augustine's insights in Gillian Evan's book "Augustine on Evil" which might be helpful. Further, Susan Neiman wrote a great investigation of the development of this particular issue in modernity in a book called "Evil in Modern Thought."

What separates God from us is just a spiritual expression away. God understood His identity and so goes all along in parallel to agree in everything he does. God is spirit and by understanding himself he does not contradict his own essence but instead providing the expression for it. It's something like a mind agreeing with his emotion. In our case it's quite the opposite. From the beginning of our physical conception we are already conditioned to think and behave as if we are not the same spirit image of God. We are conditioned that we are made of composite materials that made up our physical body. We are conditioned to think as mortal, as survivalist and would soon be death as we "aged" to death. We have ignored the reality of our spiritual essence that we "think" differently from who we are. Ignorance is what breeds evil. We oppose instead be in parallel of our true essence.

Is God unable, impotent or even malevolent? These are the questions would one day be open for us to understanding if we manage to go all the away seeking the answer of our spiritual self. To understand our spiritual self is to understand God. Because in the spiritual realm there is only one.

God can do anything. But when Adam & Eve sinned God nolonger allowed his grace to protect mankind.

Mankind now understood good and evil by eating from the tree of knowledge so Adam and Eve chose the path for mankind.

Since God gave mankind the freedom to choose then it is man's responsibility to stop murdering each other, stop raping, stop stealing, stop lying, stop hating, and on, and on.

Man needs to clean up our own mess and stop blaming God for things under our own control.

God will end all evil, in His time. We cannot put arbitrary time constraints on God. He will do what is according to His will and good pleasure, in His timing. God uses the evil of this world for good. Take the case of Joseph, sold into slavery, imprisoned unjustly, yet God used this evil to preserve His people and bring them to Egypt.
God is perfectly able to end all evil, and will, when it is according to His will and timing.

Evil comes from the choices men make, not God. Just like your babble came from you, not God.

Evil is what occurs when people choose not to do good things sort of like darkness is the absence of light.

God will never take away our free agency. We will always have the choice bettween good and evil and the ability to make it.
