In Acts 15, Paul decides to stop traveling with one person, and decides to go with another guy.

It didn't make them wrong, it means they had been touched in different ways by the Spirit, and they needed to teach in different ways.

It's not "creative license," it's seeing different needs and responding in different ways.

So, people usually end up in churches that reflect what they want and need, or they reject a church that doesn't teach what they want to hear.

In most cases, it's not that people are wrong -- just different.

Godspeed.

Did you ever see a plot device in several stories where someone wants to hide gem stones so they dump them in an aquarium with pieces of colored glass already there and no one can tell the difference?

That is exactly what Satan has done. Each one has things looking somewhat like the other and a shade of the the real thing. It would be easier if the false ones looked like moss and the real gems remained the same, but that defeats the purpose!

"The great deceiver, who has mislead many" is what he does. It is up to each of us to search for and find the true one. Satan hopes you will settle or just as good, give up and sit it out. If we want the rewards Christianity speaks of, we must actively go find it.

Sometimes the mainline religions have failed to evangelize and spread the Gospel with simplicity and sincerity. Many of the mainliners cater to the rice, the well connected and the super educated. They care little for the common man that Jesus and the Apostles surrounded themselves with. That makes it necessary for God to use these "on fire" evenaglicals to spread the Gospel the best they can. Their preaching might be imperfect and sometimes lacking but it is better than no going into the by ways to reach the poor and the hungry.

It says that as long as the denomination agrees on the essential tenets of Christianity ,there is a wide lattitude for doing your own thing.Even if it is a man made tradition. As long as it doesn't take away from the true Gospel.

The same reason politicians, news media, Hollywood, and every other public group in this nation....sensationalism!!! However, if one is personally practicing what they believe, it should make no difference what is actually taught in a church. A true believer would have enough Holy Spirit sense to leave a church if anything was taught contrary to scripture. As it refers to anyone else OUTSIDE of the church (not having a belief in God), what does it matter to them anyway? They don't even believe in the things they say believers should be practicing!!!

Everything depend on what you want in life. Jesus said to Father: " Your Word is the truth ". So it is better to hear God then people. We ought to test every spirit whether it is from God or not. What about people ? Not only by hearing people, but rather by their acts and behavior we can know where they come from. We must to compare what people say with what is written in the Gospel and be vigilant for many deceivers have come out into the world.

It was prophesied in the Bible that there would be a falling away, and we are seeing it happen.
People will heap to themselves teachers that will say what they want to hear, instead of the truth. They try to create a different Jesus, one that will "wink" at their sins, and try to play down the hard truths of Christianity.
Their motives may be many, and who can say for certain what they would be? It IS clear though, that to cross doctrine is a sign of fraud.

History was written by the victor...in the same sense, religions are written by those who lead them. Sometimes it is all about what those in power want the masses to believe.

because the bible has so many loop holes, it is open for interpretation.

usually what it is interpreted as what is right for that moment. basically how is more beneficial for the person interpreting the passage.

self serving is what it is.
