I'm going to the dentist in 3 days because my front tooth is killing me, I know I need a root canal because I've had one on the other front tooth and this feels the same. What pain management would you recommend until then? I can barely sleep, help me please!

You should give your dentist a call and let him know that you are in alot of pain. You need to be put on antibiotics to clear up the infection and then you will start to feel better. If it is really bad you could always go to the ER and they can give you some pain meds and some antibiotics so when you do see your dentist he can go ahead and start the root canal. Most dentist's will put you on antibiotics before they do any treatment because the infection can sometimes cause you not to get numb. Good Luck and I hope that you feel better soon.

Reflexolgy is your best bet. All your nerves end in your hands and feet. Your front tooth nerve is in your index and second fingers. If it is on your right side it will be your right hand. Hold hard pressure on the first knuckles of these two fingers for a few minutes and the pain will stop. If you have a clothes pin it can apply the pressure you need. Just be sure to let up often enough so that you do not stop the blood flow for too long. Email me back and I can help more.

You should try contacting your Dentist and ask him to prescribe something for you until you see him on your appointment date. Normally Dentist make exceptions for emergencies. Insist that you speak with him and let them know that you are having pain. I work in a Dentist office, they will let you speak with him

If you are having really bad toothache, there is no over the counter pain reliever for you! Sorry.

Are you taking anti-biotics yet? As soon as you get some of that infection down you will feel a lot better. Also, ibuprofen!!!
