Acts Chapter 19 shows it is a totally different experience than when you believed or were water baptized.

I believe Jesus referred to it in Acts chapter 1 verse 5 also.

...at age 12, I was water baptized and was half way expecting some kind of earth shattering change or feeling to come over me as I rose back up from under the water...although it was an enlightening experience, there were no major feelings or supernatural experiences connected to it...I was a bit disappointed, but, then again, I was only 12 and still a child.

...at age 46, however, I was prayed for and had hands laid on me to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit....I remember saying, in my head, OK and it just rushed in like a cool breeze and I began to speak in tongues....and ever since then, when I pray, its been both in English (my language) and in the language of the Holy Spirit....there are times when I will just start speaking in tongues in my head or under my breath..spontaneously...I may have a general idea of what the Holy Spirit is praying but do not necessarily understand the words....

I will add, before this gift came into my life, I was scared of it and avoided it....now, I understand the need for it...it no longer frightens me...it's a spiritual tool for intervention, praise, worship and understanding....

Yes, I have been baptized in water, spirit, and fire. I feel protected being under his care and am not ashamed to boast of His Good News. (Acts 2:38, Romans 1:16, 1 Corinthians 14:18).

Yes. How could you call yourself a Christian if you weren't? When you accept Jesus as your Savior, and are Born again, you receive the Holy Spirit. All true Christians have the Holy Spirit.

Yes, I am baptized in the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. It is a separate experience from salvation or water baptism. I have experienced all three.

I also believe in baptism by the Holy Spirit and want to add: " if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. " ......Romans 8:9
