assault laws?

ok so i did a fire in the hole like 3 months ago and abc wants to interveiw me and show it on national tv and i was wondering if there was like a deadline for someone to report assault... if i go and do the interveiw can i still get in trouble? considering is was so long ago?

you shouldnt try it if you do it youll have a chance to screw yourself over and being on tv isnt that amazing!
