I don't like him but make NO mistake, he is not a good driver he's an AWESOME driver. To come back from his earlier spin was a tremendous piece of driving, even though Gordon spun out. He is definitely on one of his late season rolls and should contend to win his 3rd cup.

This time, I think it was both. Being a good driver got him to second place in the race, but had Jeff's bad luck not happened, I don't think Tony would have won. Now don't get me wrong, I'm anything but a Gordon fan. Tony was too far back to catch him on his own though. Congrats to Tony and all his fans on a great day! Some days it's just your day like Kurt at Pocono and other days the win is handed to you just when you think the race is over, either way, a win is a win!

It was definitely all luck. Yes he had a great car but 8 times the pole sitter has won the race and Jeff has won there 4 times. He had made it through that turn the first 88 times and just lost it once. He is entitled to a few mistakes but he just wheel hopped it, anyone could have done it again, even Tony Stewart. Had he not done that Jeff would have won and would have 5 wins and 5 wins at the Glen.

Some of it was luck but tony is a good driver and he put himself in position to win. He may have had a car good enough to win without Jeff's mistake.

He is a good driver! By the way, this is 100% true, Tony Stewart was my great grandmas paper boy, and he only lives like 3 houses down from her

He didn't win because he is a good driver, but he was in position to win because he is a good driver. When my Jeff spun out, Tony was in position to take advantage of the lucky break. Despite the good break, Tony still earned the win.
You know what they say about luck. The more I practice, the luckier I get.

I think finishing first was luck, but it was his driving abilities that got him back up to 2nd in position to take the win if something had happened, its both. He didn't just spin and fall back then get up to second based on luck, that was skill, but Gordon spinning was luck for Stewart.

It was luck that Jeffie spun out, but that's it. Anyone who thinks Tony didn't WORK his tail off to put himself in the 2nd position at the end is full of it. Personally, I think he would have attempted to take Jeff in the last two laps... and would have either got by him or crashed the both of them out of the race.
Tony had the fastest car in the race...that much was apparent.

He made the same mistake as Jeff. He had a stronger car most of the race. To say that it was all luck is not right. He put himself in position and who is to say that if Jeff had not spun that Tony wouldn't have passed him anyways.
