There has not been a pet food poisoning incident recently except related to the spring recall, and your choice is not on the list. Poisoning is usually related to kidney function, as relates to what happened in the food that was recalled. If your cat goes outside, she could have gotten into something like antifreeze. But those are not usually the symptoms seen.
You cannot wait a week. You need to take your cat to the vet NOW! Don't listen to your sister; she is not a trained professional (or she wouldn't give you that 'advice'). Get an appointment as soon as possible, like tomorrow at the latest.

Please do not wait for a week. Your cat needs to go to the vet now! Cats hide illness very well. If you can tell something is wrong then there is definitely a need to immediately bring her to the vet. Meow mix was not part of the recall to my knowledge but that does not rule it out as a possible cause. Do not feed her anymore of that food. Meow mix is a terrible food to begin with. TAKE HER TO THE VET NOW.
The symptoms you describe indicate some type of paralysis or neurological issue. As for her "necessities", the other causes could be causing havoc with her gastrointestinal tract and she could be having troubles urinating or defecating as a result. It does NOT sound like the symptoms of food poisoning.
This is nothing to play around with. Don't wait! THIS SOUNDS VERY SERIOUS.

That's a neurological problem... something likely quite a bit Worse than food poisoning, but it can also be a sign of chemical poisoning. Get your cat to a vet asap.

Take her off the food immediately and switch to something else. I can't believe that you would continually feed her that stuff if you suspect it is making her sick! Change her food and take her to the vet to have her examined. If she is having problems with her legs and bowel movements, then that is NOT a good thing and there is something definitely wrong with her!

To be on the safe side you should bring he into the vet so they can tell you what is going on with your cat so your cat won't get worse. If you wait you may end up losing your cat to what ever it ate.

this question is better to the canines and Cats categories. canines & cats can get unwell from spoiled meals. they are no longer atomic. next time could you post an animal question in the suited categories? thank you for that.

I wouldn't wait that long.
It might be food poisoning, or it might be something else altogether. Take her now.
Good luck.
