I have a new set of Top Flite golf clubs, I paid about $200 for them from a wal-mart super center, and plus all I use are top flite golf balls. If anyone has ever heard of the top flite clubs, are they good to use, cause i'm still a beginner because i don't get to play as much as i like but i do try to improve my game, and when i do, i want to get a better set of clubs. any suggestions anyone?

The clubs will work while you are learning but change the ball. Top Flites have a very hard cover and it is hard to get spin with them, especially around the green. Go for a durable ball like the Titleist NXT that has decent spin. Subscribe to Golf Magazine or Golf Digest. They have amateurs with different handicaps rate clubs and balls in almost every issue, with one issue a year devoted almost entirely to equipment.
You need to develop a repeatable swing before you invest in a more expensive set of clubs. Once you can hit the ball consistently and know how far you hit each club, then try some demo clubs from almost any pro shop in your area and compare how they hit versus your Top Flights. A used set of top notch clubs, like sold on ebay, are a better buy than new, lesser quality clubs until you are certain you play enough to get the most out of an expensive new set.

The Top Flite brand is a good brand to start out with. However, you are not going to get top of the line performance from them. When you become a better player you would be better off looking a brands such as Titleist, Callaway, Cleveland, or Taylor Made. Sets of only irons can be significantly more expensive than Top Flite.

Those are OK beginner clubs , but next time check Ebay for some " Super Game Improvement " clubs. You can get them for about the same price and they are easier to hit.

i started with a set of Cleveland ta 5 gun metals.the feel is very good on the better made clubs. in my opinion ditch the top flights and find you a good set of name brand clubs somewhere you will start getting the meaning of feel a lot sooner.

Those clubs are fine for now.
You wont need anything expensive until you are very consistent with your shots.
