If you say one wrong thing, should you be ignored?

If a bad book is written, should a library be ignored?

The Bible is a library of 66 books, written over more than 3,000 years.

Have you said things in the past year that conflict with what you said or believed 10 years ago? So does that negate the truth of everything you've said or done, ever?

If you say "it's 9 a.m." and then three hours (or 2,000 years) later, say, "it's noon," does that negate what you said both times? Are both sentences not true or in conflict?

Godspeed

If God inspired the writing of Holy Scriptures, small flaws would be giant problems in light of belief in his perfection.

Normally, witnesses in trials do make minor mistakes, but the jury has to decide if the main testimony is true.

So the defense lawyer proves the witness is wrong about his hair colour...was it a wig?...a die job?...the way the light hit it?...not necessarily a wrong identification.

I would believe in God without the bible. The "theory" that everything came from NOTHING without God takes more faith than any sane person could ever muster.

Look at the world He created, full of beauty and variety that was NOT necessitated by "survival of the fitest".

How can anyone with a working brain doubt there is a God?

Believing that the Bible is the "Word of God" is a seperate thing...but I do believe that it is His Word!

There is no need to worry about which stories, sentences, events are false in the scriptures because…

Deuteronomy 32:4: “The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice; Righteous and upright is he.”

Psalm 19:7: “The law of Jehovah is perfect, bringing back the soul. The reminder of Jehovah is trustworthy, making the inexperienced one wise.”

Daniel 4:37: “Now I, Neb•u•chad•nez´zar, am praising and exalting and glorifying the King of the heavens, because all his works are truth and his ways are justice, and because those who are walking in pride he is able to humiliate.” One of Jehovah God’s works is His Word the Bible, in which was inspired by him.

2 Timothy 3:16, 17: “All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.”

There are many people today who say that God is a liar. Here are some scriptures the say the opposite.

Numbers 23:19: “God is not a man that he should tell lies, Neither a son of mankind that he should feel regret. Has he himself said it and will he not do it, And has he spoken and will he not carry it out?” Yes, God is not a man (like you and I) who lies. We lie all the time, whether large or small. Conversely, Jehovah is perfect and never lies. Everything Jehovah says and does will come to be. (Isaiah 55:10, 11)

1 Samuel 15:29: “And, besides, the Excellency of Israel will not prove false, and He will not feel regrets, for He is not an earthling man so as to feel regrets.”

Hebrews 6:18: “In order that, through two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to the refuge may have strong encouragement to lay hold on the hope set before us.” It is impossible for Jehovah God to lie. The scriptures were inspired of Him. If there were any faults in the scriptures, wouldn’t that not contradict Jehovah himself, whose name means “He Causes to Become?”

Titus 1:2: “Upon the basis of a hope of the everlasting life which God, who cannot lie, promised before times long lasting.” Jehovah God is the Almighty. He is the Supreme One. Anything, I mean anything that Jehovah says will happen just as he foretells it.

Yes, the Bible has much credibility. Many people take every scripture literally. Some scriptures in the Bible are symbolic. For instance, if you are reading the book of Revelation and you come across the wild beast and the harlot, it is not a literal wild beast and harlot. Those creatures represent something. That something is the governments and false religion respectively. The seven heads in Revelation represent seven human rulerships on earth. On the other hand, there are literal numbers that are to be taken literally, for instance, the seven congregations that are mentioned in the Bible book of Revelation 1:10, 11 (Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea)

Many people just read the scriptures, but do not live by them. They do not and will not dig deeper to find the meaning to the scriptures. Some scriptures will seem as if they are conflicting with one another, but another scripture will bring out the point altogether. As for a hidden treasure, you must search beyond the surface for it.

Take Care,

Don't forget that there's a difference between the authenticity of a book, and the truth of the story that it tells. Even if one has the truly authentic Bible, it says nothing about whether or not the events therein really happened.

To give a more modern example: The real Harry Potter books are just a fictional as the fake ones.

If there is one lie in the bible the whole thing is a lie. Very true.
Now show me a lie or a contradiction.
It's amazing how many people make these assumptions and they haven't even begun to read much less study the book.
Next time offer some evidence or shut up.

There is a huge difference between a word being fake and the words used to describe just being different.

If the book of Matthew states that God tore the curtain from bottom to top,, and the book of Mark states that God tore the curtain from top to bottom, you now would have reason to discredit one of the two writers, for this is an absolute difference.

If on the other hand, one book states that God tore down the curtain and the other book states that plus adds a few more details. Both writings are in agreement with one another.

You and I could witness the same exact event from different vantage points and still write about the event and have it be in agreement. I would however , be writing from my vantage point and you would be writing from yours. The basic story would still be the same, just with different details.

That's the problem it don't. you have to take the book as a whole and learn history. For two weeks now I been throwing all kinda of Questions to a historian that knows the bible all to well. He answer all with logic and its driving me crazy. I threw at him why does God say Us -We and why is there sex with same family members and why does it seem God does not seem to be upset with slavery all these questions I asked so far and they all been in answer perfectly. I even looked here and the so called Atheists seem to have the dumbs answers I have ever seen so I still looking into it but if I find one that can't be answer I will post it. If you look at it close you will discover many things even that there was world before man here and what happened to it. Wild stuff.

How many of them are verifiably true? How many of those aren't just merely derived from earlier mythologies? I feel the burden of proof is on the document that claims to be infallible divine truths.

It takes faith to believe in something that can not be scientifically proved.

The reality of the continuation of life after death and hell is inevitable but the reality of God's love is absolute.

I think you should worry more about where your soul is going to spend eternity than fussing about the authenticity and the authority of the bible.

The christian bible is full of contradictions and inaccuracies. It should be recognized as the mythology it is.
