OK I know that if I take my own money and pay an illegal to do something than I am a criminal and I belong in prison.

But what if the illegal wants to pay me? Isn't that Very Bad too?

Or what if there isn't money but we agree that I help the illegal's kid with their school work or help him with his tax work after school sometime and he help me with something after work? Should the government also put us in prison for tax evasion now?

Hi Ms. Amanda :) Yes I have learned from people in this forum that hiring an illegal makes me a horrible criminal and that I should be tried like a adult and than thrown in prison just like if I am a drug dealer.

BTW and you would be a Patriot for turning me in!

Thank you Sabado :)

I have to say that it seems like it is illogical for me to be a criminal for paying an illegal but I am not a criminal if he pays me even though it may benefit him more.

But hey the Law is the Law! I just am glad they can't bust me for tax evasion..*sigh!*

No- That would not be tax evasion because if your doing it for free there is no money changing hands. Secondly You are a legal U.S. citizen so it would not be a crime for you to work in this country, so it's perfectly okay to accept money from him, as long as you declare it after you make over a thousand dollars.

Wait- Sigy, really? If I pay the boy down the street to mow the lawn and he may- or may not - be illegal, is that really something that I should be in jail for? I asked people on here if I should ask for documentation if I were to employ someone to work in my home. They decided I shouldn't.

*ok. I get it. Sorry, scared me for a second there.*

The law is the law, respect it. People need to respect the law and stop trying to change it to suit their needs.

It's the law, "you do the crime--you do the time!"
