Rabbits do poop a lot - like everywhere, all the time. As long as they are small, formed round pellets that dry out quickly it doesn't matter how much there is. Rabbits have very fast metabolisms, so they eat and poo nearly all the time. They're very different from cats and dogs.

You may also see soft poos from time to time - rabbits pass these initially, and then eat them - food has to pass through their gut twice for them to get the full nutritional value. These soft 'poos' are actually called caecotrophs, you won't always see them as rabbits mostly eat them straight from the anus. As long as you're seeing lots of normal pellets. no need to worry.

As you're new to bunny keeping, I'm going to let you know these most important points of rabbit care:

+ a good rabbit diet consists of rabbit pellets, vegetables and LOTS of hay. There should always be hay in the cage.
+ vegetable-wise, stay away from iceberg lettuce (too much water, gives them diarrhoea) and soft fruits. Veggies really only need be given every other day.
+ rabbits are most prone to dental and digestive problems - this is why hay is so important, it keep their digestion healthy, and their constantly-growing teeth ground down.
+ get your rabbit's teeth checked by a vet 6-monthly to make sure they're not overgrowing - even if the front teeth seem OK, you can't see a rabbit's back teeth without a vet's helf. These need checking too as they can overgrow and stop a rabbit eating.
+ if ever your rabbit stops eating or pooing for more than a day, go straight to a vet! Bunnies don't last more than a few days not eating or pooing, they're metabolisms are so fast.

So I don't think there's anything wrong with your rabbit, but ever you're worried do get your pet checked by a vet, don't rely on Yahoo Answers.

Okay, first of all you should have done your research first before getting your rabbit. This is why they become homeless so easily. They are just as much work as a small dog. For the first few days, I would keep him on a diet of pellets and timothy hay. Thats it for the first few weeks.
SLOWLY introduce more foods, and treats. Raviolos are a GREAT hard treat. I use Nutrapuffs for rabbits as training treats and they work like a charm. Rabbits poop ALOT, and thats normal. They can be litter trained, and I highly suggest you get him a litter box. Always reward when you notice him using it. Place the litter box in a spot where oyu notice he's pooping the most. I have 2 litter boxes in my rabbits cage, and he's uses them both, but one more than the other. Not all poops go in either, but whats important is that he pees in the box. Also if you see clumped poops that are a darker slimy substance, these are normal and are called cecum. They eat these at night for nutritional purposes, so don't throw them out. You REALLY need to do some research because rabbits needs alot more than most realize, to have a happy and safe rabbit.

Some fruits and such DO make a rabbit poop alot. He is fine. But, if you really think that something is wrong with him, take it to a vet.

Call your local vet and describe his symptoms and of course tell him/her what you have been feeding it. May be the apples. But since it is only a few months old could be a few other things...so check with the vet..usually a call is all it will take and shouldn't cost anything.. Good Luck

If it is small, round balls it is fine. Rabbits do poo a lot. You should be concerned if it is runny as your rabbit could be having too many fresh fruits and vegetables in his diet.

to easily answer your question - no. I grew up in a close-by the place ingesting rabbit, squirrels, possum, raccoon, deer (and confident, we did have beef, beef and chickens - i grow to be raised on a rustic farm). It grow to be a existence-variety for me and nevertheless on occasion devour those style of meat. I actual have chanced on that maximum city human beings (who've basically eaten hoof, fin, or chicken) think of that ingesting something (meat) is misguided, or barbaric and could no longer even attempt it. do no longer push her - in basic terms enable her order what she likes, and you order the frog legs!
