I`m having a weird problem with my adsl line.It works fine when I`m not on the phone. The minute I receive a call the connection(ADSL) will be lost. I only get reconnected when I change filters.I have about five filters that I recycle through. I have the ADSL nation XF 1e, Fujitsu excelsior FDX100-UK filters.BT came to check the line and found no problem with it. However, I could sometimes hear the modem dialling out on the phone line. I really do not know what else to do. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

DSL service requires a near perfect phone line coming into your house. If there are any issues with the line from the pole to anywhere within your home, it will create problems like you mentioned. The DSL signal coming to your modem is most likely degraded so even though you get sync, it may be at the threshold and the littlest thing (like picking up a phone in the house) can cause that signal to fall below threshold and you will loose sync. Replacing the modem will not solve the problem. Running a new line (CAT5) from the demarc (Telephone interface box outside your house) to the modem may resolve the issue. BT needs to do a dB reading and a stess test on your line.

You should contact your ISP. There should be no interruptions whatsoever to your Internet connection when you receive a phone call.

They installed the line, right? They will come to your home (or wherever) and check/repair the problem.
