I personally don't recommend myspace either. Yahoo personals and singlesnet.com are free to a point. I've paid for one month when I initially joined so I could email someone. Even if they weren't a paying member they could email back if they were responding. Then I cancelled. Good luck.

plenty of fish is the only one I know of and I do not reccomend it at all!
People use myspace as a dating site though..
