As the whole world was reduced to one family at two points in (bible) history?

Well...that's what some of us believe....

Caught an interesting answer..."if they can prove it"....wow...aren't we haven't a jolly old time with creation vs evolution?

but how about Noah? Funny about the "anomoly" (as the scientists) put it, the one on the side of the mountain in Turkey...been some good books ...some who've brought back pieces of wood.

But for now...doesn't seem anyone can convince the government it should use even more sophisticated satellites, nor will the Turkish government let anyone into the area surrounding the mountain.

Wouldn't it be funny....supposing God had a purpose in preserving the ark....His word has told us the dimensions, and from the models I've seen, it's not that small after all...but whaaaaatt if He had a purpose in preserving it...and then, at some point in the 21st century, it was finally revealled?

after all...for almost a 100 years archeologist told us 1) no culture called Phillistine, then oops on that one...that 2) Ur would never be found, nor Ninevah, since they were mythological stories supporting "Abraham" and "jonah and the whale"....ooops on those two also....

Could keep going on with all the "oops" in the name of archeology that have been controverted with discovery after discovery.

so...wouldn't it be something if the ark really was preserved?

no, the Bible uses stories, or parables, to make a point. The people who take the Bible too literally are missing God's message. You have picked up on one of the many parables in the Bible that just would not make sense if taken literally. Was Jonah really swallowed by a whale? Even the largest whales only have a throat as wide as an orange. Again, if you take the story literally rather than as a fable with a message, you miss the point.

Yes!
Everyone, including Eve is descended from Adam.
Eve was made from genetic material (described as a rib) taken from Adam. So we are all related.
At the time of the worldwide flood (which is the origin of most large sedimentary deposits and vast numbers of fossils, which were living things buried at that time), the human race was wiped out, with the exception of Noah's family of 8 persons. So we are also descended from Noah's family.

Of course athiests will disagree, because according to their evolution fable, its: FROM GOO TO YOU BY WAY OF THE ZOO.

Adam And Eve were the first humans God created, God also created other humans from different countries, this is where all the different races came from!

I'd say the gene pool mitigates again this fairy story. Or perhaps we're all inbred monkeys.

The jury is still out about whether he slipped it Magdalene or not.

Yes. I believe it is a proven fact that all humans have one lady (whom scientists call Eve) as their origin. While it is virtually impossible to prove that the Biblical Eve is the same person, I think it is highly likely.

Adam means "Human", or "Man", or "Man made of dirt", or something like that.

Eve means "Alive", or "Living", or something like that.

Noah means "Consolation", or something like that.

Most biblical names that I know of are directly related to what they do in the Bible.

An interesting note: science at this time seems to conclude that we all have one common male ancestor, and one common female ancestor. Science, however, says that they didn't live at the same time, and weren't married to each other...

Why include Noah and his wife, you would only have to list adam and eve.

Not me, Human. My lineage comes from the Aldetaneans of Zarzock 7, in what you Humans call the constellation of Orion.
