My friend and I decided to breed our rabbits.
They are the right age, and we already have homes for the babies when they come.
The problem is, all three of his females wont accept him. They're good friends, but the females wont raise their rear to him. So he ends up just 'doing' their back or tail.
We tried to hold the female down to help him, but then he didn't seem interested. Why not?
We need help. This is his first time breeding, and once he got to the female, but it freaked him out and he jumped away from her.
None of them seem to want to be mated, and when they stand still, he just gets their back or tail.

Can someone please help? ;-;

Thanks guys.. :3 You've all helped a lot.
I'm pretty sure that the female he flipped away from is pregnant, because she growled and nipped at him. x3
Either she's upset, or pregnant.
Thanks you guys!

Rabbits will breed when they're ready. You don't need to do anything other than put them together- be ready to separate if you see fur flying.

But I think you may have had a successful mating- you said 'once he got the female but then freaked out and jumped away'- it's not jumping away. A male rabbit will often flip over as he thrusts himself away from the female after breeding. Try again for a few days, then wait 28 days for babies. Check this website for help:

Good luck!

PS- If you do have trouble finding homes for all the babies, please neuter your male so you won't make any more unwanted bunnies. Thank you.

All right guys all you have to do is put the male in there with the females and leave them alone. He is still young it will take him a few tries to figure out how to get off of there backs and tails. Don't stand over them and pressure them. Trust me rabbits are one of the species that you don't have to worry about not breeding. It takes patience and time. Let the lil man figure it all out.

Don't rape your rabbits and don't interfere so much! If the rabbits are ready to mate, they will. They are rabbits for God's sake, if someone can mate they will. Leave them alone but leave them together for a longer time, don't just put the male with them for a moment. Let nature work.
