Einstein was only RELATIVELY brilliant. His mere dabblings on space-time have set back science for many decades. Thus, he should have retired earlier.
Praise God that his errors are being seen and slowly corrected. Tachyons have been detected going faster than the speed of light.
The Absolute of time is Eternity;

Ask God and follow his will, but I'd say that no one should retire until they have nothing left to do or have problems that prevent them from working or are no longer interested in their work.
