If a man lives in, cleans, works on the yard, etc. he's pitching in, he's a caretaker, he could reasonably expect a salary, etc.
If a woman does it for any one else but a husband she's a bum. Can't expect to get paid or even be considered pitching in because women are expected to do free housework whereever they go. But if a man does it, it's actual work. See what I'm saying? Have you ever come across that. What do you think? what's the solution for a single woman in that position?

I initially put this in gender studies but then saw all the horrendous sexual comments in there and decided to put it here thinking I might get more serious answers.

I noticed that in both sections married people got defensive and insulted me by denying the problem rather than thinking of it in the terms that I put it. I wonder if I need to word it differently.

See what ya need is a guy like me that'll do all that stuff for you and not expect anything but sweet lovin in return!!! j/k

I would say that the solution for this particular issue is to move on with it. I can't see where your coming from on this one because I wake up in the morning thanking the Great Spirt while I'm holding my junk, standing up to pee.

And if a woman does the housework it's not for free. I've seen it all to often and in some way shape or form the man has to pay. You women are too hard on us guys and that's why I haven't been in a relationship for so long. You come up with crazy stuff like this!

These are menial everyday tasks that need to be done regardless of who does them so quoting Nike Just do it!!

Life is too short to be worried about those things that we cannot control. I want to say sorry if I offended you. Laugh it off and go celebrate the rest of this day. Life is a holy experience that is short and sweet so make the best of it.

I do my own laundry and have done so for the past forty years. I also cook meals for my wife and I. The vacuuming is a chore I'm glad to perform. We raised four children together and that included things like diaper changes and the like. So, I fail to see what the problem is? Of course, I'm a fully functioning adult male who is not trapped by stereotypes. But, I've also come to realize that one of the biggest barriers to the advancement and happiness for single women in this society is other women.

I think it's very good proof that women are stronger than men. They don't have to be asked to do things, in order to do them.

I can just imagine a man asking his wife for money after doing the laundry LOL
