Religion promotes discrimination. The whole "believe as I do or you'll be worse off" is getting pretty old!

I personally took agnosticism one step further. You see, I believe that if the universe is so complex to happen by chance, then the idea of a more complex god is that much more improbable to happen by chance.

I also do not follow a religion but I believe in God (I call God "Source"), but not the way Christians believe. The only important thing is that you are following what feels right to YOU. I believe there is no correct or incorrect religion. Whatever one decides to follow is correct for him/her, but may not be correct for you. Just because someone is Christian does not mean that you have to be. Just because someone is Buddhist doesn't mean you have to be, but both paths are 100% correct for those who follow them. People seem to have a hard time understanding that we don't all have to be one religion. All paths lead to the same destination. You sound like a self-spiritualist without a label. That is what I am, as well.

If a Christian ever "harasses" you about it, just understand that that is there form of showing you that they care. They are doing what they believe to be correct, and we have to honor that. However, do you not have to believe it and you can walk away. Always follow your own heart and follow your own path. The path that is right for you is inside of you.

Blessings!

Yes, avoid mixing god with religion. I believe in God and believing in God is great. Religion is all politics. Trust me, you could trace the history of all religions; it is very very hard to find a religion that has easily convinced people to follow them. One exception I would consider would be the Buddhism. I am not Buddhist but from my history class I learned that it is more like a philosophy and it is indeed very sacred path. No comment on many other religions.

It isn't hard for all Christians to understand. But, some are just close-minded.
Don't mind them. Just pretend as if they didn't say anything.

If anyone questions your beliefs, just ignore them.
It's great that you don't have a religion, because that says that you aren't afraid to not have a religion, and you are still believing in whatever you want.

because they're christian's. they have a tendency to not understand anyones point of view but their own. I have the same belief as you. you tell them you have no religion but you believe in god and they say so you believe that jesus is your saviour and you just stand there like wtf. if that was the case i would be a christian. some of them think god is jesus some of them think god is god and jesus is the son of god. most of them are so confused i have just stopped trying to understand them all together. just enjoy being you and believing what you believe.

I respect your decision. It just may sound strange to others. Don't worry about them. If you believe in God then that's good enough for me. But just so you know I am Catholic so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask ok? either email or IM me. But as far as you not having a certain religion or denomination that's fine with me. Just wanted to offer in case you had questions.

It's not hard for me to understand.

Myself I get a lot out of walking in some of the trails in the wilderness that the Church has already laid out for me, but if that's not your thing, I say "Go in Peace and I'll see you in heaven one day."

Real Christians won't have a problem with that. Fundamentalists have a problem with it because they think you could be in their church putting your hard earned money into their collection plates and hating all the same people they hate.

I don't "believe in religion" either. My faith is in God alone. As a Christian, I desire to be involved in a church that worships God and seeks to serve and know Him, and share His love with others.

I also do not believe in 'religion' but believe in God, and I am a pastor! Religion is man's attempt to reach God on his own terms..... God wants us to have more than religion. He wants us to have a relationship with Him. There will be no denominations in heaven... just God and all the people who choose to love Him and obey Him here...The choice is up to us... Only God could create this marvelous universe, and plant us all in it .....When does the universe begin or end? Only God knows.... its bigger than the humanmind can imagine. Our finite minds cannot begin to grasp the almighty eternal being of God. Yet He loves us... and wants a relationship with us... sent us Jesus, His only Son who agreed to become a man... the only God-man..... so we could have a real eternal relationship by utilizing his provision of forgiveness of all our sin. Wow... God does care! He is real... and He love me and you too. Have you read His book? Try it.... judge for yourself what He wanted you to know. Take your time are read it carefully....

It's not. You believe God exists but you don't necessarily believe all the things that religions believe... right?
