It depends on your area. You should call and ask. Where I live, they do like a proration deal. This an example and not actual price. They do like $100 for the first 10 m.p.h. over and then $5 for each additional 1 m.p.h.
So, for example in your case you were 25 m.p.h. over. 10 @ $100 and 15 x 5 = $75. It be $175 if my math correct. This just an example. Call and ask how the math work for you.
Now, one thing that can help is, go to Court if you have the time (Think lost pay for a day). Sometimes you can give a good story like a Bee flew in the window and you were flipping out trying to get it away from you, again this just an example, just be creative. Sometimes the Judge gives a discount for a good laugh. I am serious!

Don't let these other posts scare you. I got caught doing 95 in a 65. If it's your first ticket, request a hearing in front of the judge. You don't need a lawyer. You can plead "no contest" and pay the ticket plus court costs. In Texas, it will run you about $300- $350. It's very doubtful you will lose your license. Good luck.

Depending you might have to do some community service, probation for a period, could loose your license for a little while too, then your insurance will surely go up possibly to high risk. All this depends 0n where you live. I've heard In Virginia your fine if all conditions were right could be $ 8,000-$ 10,000. Get you a lawyer and possibly they could plead this down to something else like defective exhaust etc. What you pay your attorney will help you save on insurance later.

Depends on what state you're in. My son got caught in California a few years ago doing 101 on a 70mph highway. He had to pay $350 and the judge pulled his license for a month.

In Arizona 20MPH or more above the posted limit and it becomes "criminal speeding". No longer just a traffic offense, and you can go to jail for it.

Depends on the state, but a lot of states, you would get a hefty ticket, at least $300, plus losing your license.
