Osteoporosis is a progressive metabolic bone disease that decreases bone density (bone mass per unit volume), with deterioration of bone structure. Skeletal weakness leads to fractures with minor or inapparent trauma, particularly in the thoracic and lumbar spine, wrist, and hip. Acute or chronic back pain is common. Diagnosis is by dual-energy x‑ray absorptiometry. Prevention and treatment involve Ca and vitamin D supplements, exercises to maximize bone and muscle strength and minimize the risk of falls, and drug therapy to preserve bone mass or stimulate new bone formation.
Please see the web pages for more details on Osteoporosis.

you have not written which of your can is minus 3.3. Genrallay a dexa scan gives hip, forehand, spine and whole body. In any case -1.5 to-2.5 ia osteopenea(osteo=bone, penea=softening) and above -2.5 is osteoporosis, the bones becoming porus, more prone for fractures. If you are highly physically active, taking 1000mg and above diatary calciumand exposing yourself for at least one hour to the sun should not get osteoporosis. But the confounding factors are,too much of smoking, medicines used for cancer,T B,steroids, asthama, epilepsi may induce osteoporosis. Please consult good endocrinologist or orthopedition.

You need calcium rich diet to strengthen your bones. You should be very careful because a fall or accident will damage your bones. Consulting a good ayurvedic doctor is better. Drinking Indian Mulberry fruit juice helps to strengthen the bones.

Exercise, but first walk, after run, and later exercise, take sun all mornings, fiftheen minutes, eat carrots, drink milk, cheese, and iron. I don´t know how many time, but this illness is a circle, you need kept in your body the calcium and vitamin "D", but if you dont take sun, then the calcium and the vitamins wont be kept in your body and with the exercise your bones will be strongest.

There are medications to help build up the density of your bones. Talk with the doctor and see if it can be prescribed for you. Also, make sure you get adequate calcium in your diet.
