i was wondering if anyone has drvin' to either of these tracks?? I went to Dover for the first time last year in Spetember, but i took the bus to get there, this year i'd like to drive but i was wondering what the traffic is like to get out of the track. i'm not concered about the morning traffic, just leaving the track. We went to the Pocono race and we sat in the parking lot for FIVE hours and didn't go anywhere!! it was treeriable. So i was just wondering if the traffic was anything like that.

I'm also going to Lowe's in October for the first time, and we can't wait to go!! so if you have been to this track, what can we expect there? what's the traffic like? the atmosphere? the track? what about the seats? we're sitting southside between turns 1 and 2 section P row M...

anything that you can inform me of on both of these tracks would be greatly apprecitated!!!

I went to the October race at Lowe's in 2003 and 2004. We parked in the speedway lot for the Busch race and got out fairly quickly. For the Cup race Saturday night, we paid for parking in front of the Action Performance (now Motorsports Authentic) building a short distance from the track. We got out of the lot there within 1 hour. We got there around 11am and tailgated till about 5:30pm before heading over to the track.

I love that track, you dont have to be up real high to see everything and with the doglegs on the frontstretch you get a real sense of the speed (my seats were just before start/finish). And night races are awesome to see live. Almost all of the souvenior and display trailers are across the road from the track so there will be plenty to do before the race. Have a blast.

I went to the 600 in May, we had a blast this was the first time I have been to Lowe's, we sat right as they come out of the pits seats are great ,row M you'll be fine all the seats are good there just like at Chicagoland, I still can't believe that Casey Mears won, at least it was a Hendricks guy. It's funny how you asked about of all the tracks you picked those 2 tracks, I'm going to Dover next year. Sorry didn't really notice the traffic because we camped and waked back to our camp site, you have to know the traffic sucks after any race. I live 15 miles from Chicagoland Speedway and we camp there from Thursday to Monday, every year, so yes I'm sure the traffic sucks, just relax eat some food and wait for the traffic to leave or better yet leave in the morning and enjoy one more day of your trip it's a lot less aggravating but i n the end it will all be worth it.

I can't tell you to much about Dover cause I have never been there.

I can say that I have been to 9 tracks across the country. Michigan is the worse to get in and out of.

Daytona is the worse for Parking and Traffic.

Lowes is the Best. They all could take lessons from Lowes. I went to the Coke 600 last year and I was out of the parking lot in about 45 minutes.

Enjoy the race.

I went to Dover for my first time the same time u did!
If u go to the racetrack early, the traffic is not bad at all.
(and i dont mean super early either.)
When it is over, just hang out, buy some stuff and then leave later, like 2 to 3 hours later, or leave as soon as the race is over if ur a good runner :)

I have been to the Dover races, and races in Talledega, Richmond, and Atlanta. The best thing to do is just to wait 2 -3 hours before even trying to leave. Lay back, have a barbeque, shop the souvenier stands, etc. You will be much less riled up and won't sit in traffic near as long.
