2 Thessalonians 2:11
''And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should belive in a lie.''

Ezekiel 14:9
''And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet.''

Clearly, there's a long history of lies here.

CJ - I didn't ask how often your god lied to non-christians. If your feeling is that he only lies to non-christians, that's fine.
Does he do that pretty often?

I must say that any one person that truely thought for a moment and stepped outside of their fear-mongering would see that most of the Christian religion that we have today is based upon lies and deciet. The church was (and still is, sadly) famous for that. The Bible itself was extremely selective- a group of men (of course) from the Church gathered together and weeded through the Gospels of old, selecting a very small percentage to be portrayed in the Bible as "truth", and casting the others to the floor- (i.e. Gospels of Mary, Thomas, etc...) The sad part is, we have proof of this, and yet people continue to turn a blind (and rather ignorant) eye to this fact. Instead they threaten you with horrible, painful deaths, curses from God, and punishments beyond belief. That's mature. It is my belief, (and I could write a book on this) that the Church has so impeded, in general, man's way of thinking, and taken away their reasoning and ability to think for themselves and question what they are told, that we have become caught in a limbo, so to speak. The greatest lie ever told: "I am the Way, the Truth, and The Light." There is NO one path, no one true way- it's all relative. And, like it or not, we're all gonna arrive at the same destination. It's not the ending result we should be concerned with- it's the journey itself.

You say, "How often...?" but we can't say "every three minutes." It's better to deal in specifics than generalities. What specific type of deception are you worried about? Is there a particular issue you're facing?

Heck, the lies are still happening today, not just in the past.

Those are speaking of the non-Christian lying and being lied to. Of course you already knew that, but enjoy your trolling moment in the cyber sun.

it is truly amazing what you can come up with when you read something only choosing specific statements from it.
