I like white guys and although i am black, i have no problems with dating black guys. It's a personal preference-i dont discriminate on race, if i like you...i like you. But why is it that i always have to go up to the guy. Other races have approached me. But i have never been approached by a white guy. is it that they fear rejection period or is it because im Black and automatically thought that i would not like them? Or that i would be constiered "Ghetto" (I despise that word) and not know how to relate. I surf, skateboard, listen to rock majorly and rap,rock climb, play guitar, ect ect ect. Basically im well rounded, what's up?!

I almost exclusively dated black ladies when I was in high school. I can tell you right now, 9/10 white guys think there are TONS of hot black chicks...just most of them think black women aren't interested. Look at our society...it's SO uncool to be white nowadays, lol. I mean for real. So a lot of white guys feel like they're just going to get rejected, might as well not even ask. For the record, I never had a problem approaching women of any race, and I am white. But then again, I guess I am not the norm.

While your a well rounded person and dont conform to any stereotype, the thing is other people will not know that. Regardless of race, when someone else sees you, the first thing their brain triggers is their representative heuristics: which means they will look at your skin colour and think of all the stereotypes associated with blacks. Its not racism, but it is an unconscious prejudice which our society has.
So dont be disappointed white guys dont approach you. Now you know why they dont, its up to you to break the prejudices and stereotypes, and approach them.

I think the issue would be that white guys typically think that black girls wouldn't be interested in them.
Just this past weekend I was approached by a good looking black female, which came as a shock to me as I never thought of her in that manner.

I'm half black and half white and I"ve never been approached by a white guy either. Those that I've "talked to" never gets passed that stage and I've initiated the conversation. I think white guys are intimidated by black women. Just my experience. I think they expect us to be loud and bossy and b*tches. SO its up to you if you want to put the effort into meeting one and seeing where it goes but don't let the fact that they didn't initiate stop you.

I cant speak for all guys but i know that its hard to approach any girl, but then add the different race factor and that makes it more difficult to talk to someone cause you don't want to make a fool of yourself

I'm black and only ever approached by white guys, esp. in Europe. It's not about color. If a guy likes you he likes you. I think you should try to give more positive vibes. Like smiling etc etc
