Probably not bad for his health, but probably not helping him either. Children's vitamins are formulated for the weight and dietary needs of children. He is not getting his needs met by taking a children's dosage. He needs to talk to his doctor about what vitamins or supplements he should be taking.

As long as they're not overdosing, it won't have any negative effects. However, it may not do much for their health, either, since the vitamins are designed for the needs of children and may not be enough for adults. Despite this, I have read about pregnant women taking children's vitamins because adult ones were too much for them, so it's not unheard of for adults to take children's vitamins.

It's not bad as long as he's not eating them like candy! However, they don't have the actualy daily recommended amount of vitamins for his particular age so he's not getting what he probably requires. I've known many adults who took children's vitamins because they couldn't tolerate regular vitamins. Something is better than nothing!

You should be eating a balanced enough diet that you don't need to take any supplements.
