no bigger then a dane....i'd say about 80-90lbs...but its hard to say he could even get in the 100's. i would feed 2 times a day. and how much depends on what ur feeding him. if its just dry i think 2-2 1/2 cups a feeding. if ur mix can or human food in then less dry is needed..

also labs and danes are known breeds to get 'bloat' (its like a stomach twist air in the stomach..and deadly) so getting a feeding table is a good idea..and if the dog is a fast eater a large rock should be placed in the middle for the bowl.

My Lab/Dane female mix is 18 months old, about 29 inches at the withers and weighs around 80 pounds.

Large breeds should be fed several times per day instead of one large meal. Just look on the bag for your dogs weight and split it into two or three feedings. Both my Great Dane and Dane/Lab mix are very active and require more food than suggested on the bag. Use that amount as a starting point and go from there, depending on what your dog needs to maintain a healthy weight.

If your pup truely is a Dane mix, you should not be feeding puppy food. Switch to a large breed formula adult food. Danes mature very slowly and the adult food is a better option. Growing too quickly can cause many bone and joint problems.

Also bloat is a common problem with Great Danes, another reason you should feed several smaller meals per day. If your pup starts getting fairly tall, you may want to think about raising the food and water bowls. We used plant stands, which are much cheaper than going to your local pet store.

Good luck to you and your pup!

All dogs, big breeds especailly, should be fed twice daily. The amound varies from dog to dog. I have Newfs, and all of them are different, but NONE eat what the bag says they should eat. You feed enough to maintain a healthy weight. A large breed pup should be kepy pretty lean at least until the second birthday. You should be able to feel the ribs easily!!!

Well they should be fed once their food and water bowl is empty. They wont get to fat just tall. Make sure to give him some exercise!

Look on the bag of food and feed what they recommend for his weight.
