So I met this guy online and we pretty much hit it off the first time and we would text each other or talk on the phone, he would always make me laugh and all that. I really like being with him. One day i texted him and a his ex text me back saying to leave him alone and that they're happy, so i did!
Then one day at work, I just got an im from him and started flirting, so I flirted back, it happened a few times. There were times that when i greet him he would just ignore me and there were times when he would flirt back...now I am totally confused! What is he trying to tell me?

It sounds to me like he is still involved with someone else, and perhaps the reason he isn't consistent with his messaging is because she is around some of the time when you message him.
What you need to do is forget about the playa, and find someone who will be committed to you and ONLY YOU.

To me it seems like he's trying to be with you and his ex. Because he's ignoring you and giving you mixed signals I say leave alone. If you find out that he's with his ex leave him and move on because every girl can do way better that any way.

It sounds like he's sending on set of signals and his ex is sending another. You probably want to get the story on the ex and let him know what happened before you get too invested.

Maybe he's testing the waters. To see if you're easy. Ignore all of his moves and if he ignores you back then you mean nothing to him. But if he is forced to talk to you seriously about stuff then that's it honey... he likes you.

Ummm I would worry about what is he trying to tell you. I would worry about who the hell was that girl. That's what I would ask.
