Will God forgive a mortal sin? I comitted a mortal sin but I did not know that it was a sin or even a mortal sin until after I comitted it. Will God forgive me if I go to confession? I'm a Catholic. Please do not be mean. This very serious and I really hope that someone can help me.

To God there is no difference or "level".
An offense is an offense (sin).
You should confess to the one you offended,
because you love them and are sorrow for it,
and that love would keep you from doing it again.
Confess your sin to God.

The concept of mortal sin is a church tradition...
It is not scriptural.
The same goes with confessing to a priest.
Email me and we'll discuss it.

Put your faith where it belongs...
in Christ, not the church.
Our High Priest, Lord, and King.
To Him be all power and glory forever.

If you are Catholic then you know you need to go to confession. You can be forgiven everything and the priest will give you a penance to do...why in the world am I telling you this? YOU'RE the Catholic, you should know this! Geez...I got out of Catholic school years ago and I know this.
