i think i do no longer completely understand the attitude which you're coming from. conversing as a Christian for the reason that 2008 i will inform you that the seen Hell would not enter into my suggestions. God is own and introduced me from my own Hell. i do no longer elect to evangelise, so i will bypass away the non-public testimony for yet yet lower back. God isn't a concept, he's a courting and its complicated to disclaim understanding somebody once you have interacted with them. it is the main excessive attitude you will get from "us" Christians. truthfully although, the "risk" of Hell would not whilst quickly as look interior the Bible. in case you seek the Bible you will discover the different. I even have greater theological reasoning in the back of all of this, yet you may digital mail me if i did no longer make experience.

The other responder is wrong, hell is mentioned in the last book of the bible - revelations. It says that Satan will be cast into the lake of fire.
Some people believe that Islam came up with the concept of hell.

Hell appears in the Book of Enoch. Pretty interesting actually. This is where the angels to Enoch and showed him where the fallen angels who had slept with humans were kept. Anyway... Wether you believe or not.. it's interesting..
Oh and FYI.. the Book of Enoch was writted before Jesus came and even mentions him. The bible was written afterwards.. odd

The idea of Hellfire doesn't appear ANYWHERE in the Bible, at least not as a part of Christian beliefs. Consider as most, hopefully all, Christians know, God is Love, would a loving God punish someone for all eternity for the acts commited during a life time?? Do loving fathers burn their sons??

Revelation 20:11-15 "Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and therewas no place for them.
"And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
"The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead thatwere in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.
"Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.
"If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

All in all, Hell is mentioned by name seven times in the book of Matthew, three times in Mark, Twice in Luke, and once in bothJames and Second Peter. It was created for Satan and his followers after thier rebellion, but when God created us, He gave us free will; a loving parent wants His children to love Him in return, but those who choose not to are not forced to, because forced love is worthless.

Ishvarlan, God is love, yes, but He is also righteous. Does a loving father refuse to discipline his children? How often do you hear about children who want nothing to do woth their parents? The parents, BECAUSE they love their children, have no choice but to let the children go when it becomes clear that their children don't love them.

The bible tells us there will be a complete destruction of the wicked in the lake of fire. It compares this to what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. They were destroyed completely and the fire has long since gone out.
