I've been on Accutane for 7 months on 40mg a day, Tomorow have a demotolgist meeting, and tomrow was the day when i was supposed to come off if any progess happened. But i dont think any progess has happened in the last 2 months.
What do you think will happen? continue the dose for longer?
Im hoping that something else stronger might be avlaible,
Whats after accutane, if it doesnt work?

If accutane doesn't work, I don't know if there is anything else. I thought this was a last resort type of drug. If you haven't responded to it, then you are one of a small percentage of people who haven't. I was on it for 5 months and it was great. Now, 2 years later, I am broken out all the time and I am 26. I'd say your doc will probably try to find you a combination of meds to take or do some chemical peels if nothing else. I'm not sure about the technology out there. Maybe a laser treatment once a month for exfoliating your skin would work.

I will be curious to hear answers too, as my son has been on it for 2 months now and the progress is remarkable. He is supposedly going for a 5 month treatment.
