Sadly, you are correct.
There are far too many who believe in imaginary gods.
Better to believe in the real one.

I find it hard to believe that there is no God. Maybe it's just 2000+ years of conspiracy and I've been duped by some really old rotting corpse in the ground. His goal was to see what would happen if he got people to believe in some ficticious god and how long he could keep it going for.. cus really, how funny would that be? The thing is.. you should'nt be so worried about what religion people are. Let them be. If they are truly following by their religion.. then they should be some pretty damn nice people. While, yes.. some people do get a little out of control.. but so do non-believers. While, of course, I think your question is a sad one.. for you.. I'm not going out of my way to let you know that you are wrong and criticize you. Just stating my own opinion... which, basically, to sum it up is.. what's the point in trying to disprove these people? What do you gain from it?? Let them be..

I am assuming that you are referring to any god (chrsitian, pagan or otherwise) as make believe. Is that correct?
I am not a good christian and I don't currently practice any formal religion but when I look at nature and the universe I have to believe that there is an intelligent designer behind it. Everything is organized. Everything follows the rules of physics. I am following the theory of "The Clockmaker".

Then there are also people in 2007 who believe in Osama Bin Laden and his theories and are ready to die to prove God's existence.
Haven't you for once in your life appreciated the vastness of
nature from the mountain peak and wondered how and when
this all created and by whom ?
For me GOD is the Universal Super Natural Power and has no equal in this or other far away Galaxies.

I would rather live my life believing god exists, than to live my life like there is no god and get to the end then find out he does exist.

The evidence is all around us. Once one overcomes the false bravado based on fear, and is ready to experience it.
