Most white people like Michael Bolton or Korn, while most black people like 50 Cent or Miles Davis.

It's too bad this forum is wasted this way.

I believe that they exist hand in hand I believe that God created the big bang and everything that followed. I don't believe that the world is only a few thousand years old. I don't believe that we came from monkeys, I don't believe any form of evolution has taken place in the past, If evolution took place than it would still be happening and it is not, from the time the first man was on the Earth until now, some form of evolution should have occurred, but it has not, we are still exactly the same.

The beginning of Genesis is the beginning of the creation of the Earth as we know it. It does not address how long the planet Earth existed before the story begins with "...and the Earth was without form and void." (Genesis 1:2 KJV) Based on the first chapter of Genesis, we know that God created every living thing so we know that the story of evolution as we have heard it is false. What does take place in all types of animals is adaptation, where climates and different elements of an animals environment change and so physical features of the animal change so that it can continue to exist. Even if one were to believe the big bang theory, it would have been the power of God that triggered the explosion because He is the creator of all. Nothing just happens.

4. Don't think about it. . . . much.
I will try to present my case before them, but they have already rejected what I have to say, at least those who I have talked to about it.
It is not mainstream Christian doctrine to believe that the Gap Theory of Genesis 1:1 - 1:2 has a basis in truth. But what can I do? I translated those words with my own Hebrew resources, and I found that it is possible that the Earth can be older than 7000 years. They won't listen and they don't have to. But it did change the way I look at things and no longer have to defend against any science that says the Earth is older than 7000 years. I don't have to waste my time doing that. I can then preach the Gospel, like I am supposed to do!

In my experience, and from speaking with educated theologans with a Christian focus, they believe answer #2. The people I know generally believe that God created the first bits of life, and let evolution take over. I mean that's kind of the easiest way to do it, if you think about it--create raw components and build a universe with a set series of physical laws, then let the universe work itself out.

i believe 1 to be true. i learned evolution in middle school and then more on it throughout the rest of school and even still hear of more changes in the theory, but i just don't buy it. i know a lot of the kids today believe only that because thats all that is taught now, i think that is a bias way of teaching. i think that the teacher should give all the views and let the child think on it and figure what they believe. i'm sorry but i just don't believe in evolution, and i feel like it's flawed. i have heard all the angles of it and i have measured it up against the bibles preachings, and i find what the bible has to say to make more since to me.

I can not speak for most Christians but My opinion is #2. I think there is just too much evidence for evolution to discredit it and it is obvious that the Earth was created millions if not billions of years ago.

I think the book of Genesis's claims are so far-removed from the heart-and-soul of my Christian Faith that such matters really aren't worth discussing. Especially in this forum.
When I'm judged, I seriously doubt I'll be told " The SBC Church you were a member of had the wrong interpretation of Genesis and the Earth's creation. Sorry, you're going to Hell. NEXT."
I think it's more likely I'll be judged by how I lived my life with an opportunity to be saved by Grace for accepting Christ as my Personal Savior.

As associated with Jehovah's Witnesses:
The Bible teaches that God created the heavens and the earth over 6 stages (days) that would of taken many eons.
God created all life individually and not by natural selection.
Evolution is the teaching of men.
