This is in relation to my previous question...

Just some observations... There are many "regulars" on R&S who seem to think they are an exclusive group. They act like they are still in high school. In addition, these posters ask questions that are not at all objective or respectful, yet are baffled when others do not respect them. Do you feel this mentality shows more or less spiritual developement?

yes, I do. I personally have asked some mundane questions for clarity of things I do not understand but am open to the answers I receive, but unfortunately for me, most of the time my questions do reflect where I am at spiritually as I would love to grow, and leave the frailties and faults that is inherent in all of us behind, but as I have not reached that wonderful place yet, I will just need to continue seeking, questioning, dreaming and living. blessings to you.

well Jack P - that answers a lot for me- thank you for the poll information.

No. Questions tend to reflect what kind of day the asker is having. We ALL have our good days...and bad ones. And sometimes the Answers we get, can turn that around. Many of the Q's here that seem silly on the surface, were meant to make people think. Some people just don't like to look for anything deeper than what's on the surface. The ability to hear the message beyond the words, to be able to laugh at your own beliefs as well as others, and a sincere knowledge that we may ALL be wrong is a sign of how far we are spiritually developed.
There are many paths to enlightenment, it is not the path that matters, only the destination.

The questioners and answerers on RS, according to a poll a couple of weeks ago, are predominantly between the ages of 18-25. Education levels are approximately half with some college time.

Whatever 18-25 year olds believe today, five years from now there's a strong likelihood they'll believe something entirely different.

We're talking about young adult school kids and those barely past that stage in life.

Judgements about their mentality and spiritual development are meaningless.

I must say I haven't asked any questions as yet. Does that mean my spiritual journey has not yet started or has finished? Actually my hands are full trying to answer some of them. I think the regulars enjoy asking questions - some want to know and some are trying to attain the ultimate unanswerable question. Keep at it guys.

I suppose spiritual journey means different things to different folks. I am not surprised that most posters on R&S don't want to be associated to their answers in a personal way. Thing is, what we say anonymously probably reveals the most about us.
Apparently, a lot of us are smart Alics.

Well, I'm still in grad school. We have basically the same social structure as high school, but instead of lunch tables, we have review boards.

My Q/A very much reflects my spiritual journey: Silly to silly.

Ok, not all high schoolers act like that! I'm in high school and I don't do that!

I think it reflects lack of maturity. So yes, everything we do reflects where we are in maturity and spiritual developement.

I assume that it could. However, many people try to play up their spirituality by regurgitating information given to them by other web-sites or people, while others are overly facetious and play down their spirituality. It's hard to tell...

sometimes the questions do. but i haven't been out of high school too long. :)

R&S does have an exclusive group. we're just not in the "in crowd". lol. well you might be. i dunno. anywhoo.

yes, intolerance is a double edged sword. but i do believe we're all use it to an extent. but in being aware of this, we're a little better off.

those who do not realize the obvious double standard they carry are less developed all around, imo. lol.

It is written, "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."

To put it in the modern vernacular, "Garbage in, garbage out." (But one man's garbage is another man's treasure)

This and hundreds of other spiritual truths are found in the Bible, mankind's owner's manual from God.

Book it, and follow like spirits.

Peace
