If the Bible proves the existence of the Christian god then the Qur'an proves the Muslim god is real, and the same for other religions 'proven' by their holy texts. A veritable menagerie of gods! :-) It must be crowded Up There.

Could it be possible different religions are calling the same Deity different names. Or does that make too much sense?

The bible is a collection of stories and letters. It was not collected together in any relatively uniform way until about 600 AD. There have been MANY rewrites. Many things that did not serve the ruling class, were removed. Each time the bible is rewritten, from "original" text translations or just edited into more modern idiom, it is changed in content and meaning to serve the masters of the editors. I read Spanish well. Let me assure you, there is little similarity between the Spanish and the English versions of the bible. Does that suggest a different god? It does to me.

Does all this dicking around with "THE WORD OF GOD", suggest that it is all just stuff made up by the savages of prehistory? And it is a process that continues as groups compete for dominance. Any lie will do in a pinch.

Of course. There really is no other sane approach. All gods must be given up and people could then learn to see who their neighbor is by the behaviors and outcomes in current time.
There is no time like the present. That is why it is called the present.
Gods are always somewhere else and not now. Playing with gods is a game of lose/lose. Life can be win/win. To make it so it is important to hold truth higher than belief. Truth is easy. It is just what is so right here right now.

I realize that you are a non-believer, that’s fine, that’s up to you, couple of things, it would take a very creative group of people to "dream up" either. One think I like about the bible, it shows that everyone screws up. That there is not ONE, in it who did not fall short, other than Jesus. Now with that said, I would ask have you ever really studied what the bible says, for any reson other than to condemn it? Really studied it. Look at it like this, I can sit down and read a manual on how to build a 747. Then with the parts I can try to put one together, does that mean I can, most likely not. When someone sits down to disprove the bible, they have already closed of the door to understanding. The bible tells me so many things that have already taken place, that no one could possibly have made up, but what’s even more, is it even tells what is going on today.

Read this and tell me what this is describing

12And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Is this not exactly what occurs during a nuclear blast? How could a society of bow and arrows envision this? Or even further, why would anyone think the would world would come against Jerusalem. This is just one of so many. Does the Qur'an have such points, that only a supernatural intervention could possible answer? I know my bible does, I can not say about the rest. But I will debate the prophecy listed in the bible with anyone who wishes too, as long as it is an honest debate.

Good question and something to think about.

I solved this problem by seeking constant consistency in many of the books. I only find it in the Bible and thus to me it is unique in this area.

Study the bible as I have in finite detail and seek only this constant consistency factor and you will find that it is above and beyond human capability.

In this study set aside what others say the Bible says and let the Bible say exactly what is does say. I know that is hard but it is the only way for too many lie to themselves about what the Bible says and their even believe their own lies. [That is the secret to fame, fortune, and organized religion in my view - thus a "NO" does not join in organized religion at all.]

Smile and have a good day as you start the study.

Assuming there was an "up there" place for someone to go which is finite as you've proposed, I suppose it might get "crowded". However since the concept of omnipotent creator beings make no logical sense, you can rule out a portion of that, then add in the concept of no finite space, beginning, end or otherwise and things become vastly more understandable and logical.

Good point, but I am going to answer your rhetorical question anyway. No "one" made up the Bible. There were over 50 authors, all writing for their own reasons. That's why it's such an eclectic hodge-podge.

I don't think anybody lied per say. Spiritual texts are a culmination of oral histories and myths and other written documents. These evolve over generations and different translations. Cultural trends and the local leadership have a great deal of influence as well.

Regardless of the source, these books contain a great deal of wisdom.

You just have to ask whoever says this if they have ever been in a library.
It's full of books, the majority have a content which is entirely made up.
the truthfulness of a book can not be judged by its number of pages.

I think there's a lot of wisdom (or, perhaps, strategy) in modern theologians' decision to not prove the Bible using traditional logical axioms.

The argument, "I believe the Bible based on a different set of presuppositions about the universe," is much harder to defeat. ;)
