Why does USA engage only in conflicts where they benefit from something? Like oil in Iraq or cocaine in Afghanistan, for example. They were only nation who earned at World War 2 by selling equipment, supplies and food for Alied forces. They earn money while someone else is suffering. I infere from all this, that it`s gainful for USA when other nations are at war.
Even more, they`re calling themselves "peacemakers"!!!

P.S (2) What concerning on Iraq, americans want to control oil prices.
For all to understand - there are big oil reserves in USA. Iraq is one of bigger oil production countrys. If situation there is unstable, like at moment, the oil prices are getting much higher and US oil companys can sell it for much higher prices. Obvious that it`s gainful for USA!

About Afghanistan, US are controlling drug traffic there, using war as undercover. It`s gainful that sutuation there is unstable, or they couldn`t do it so easy there.

About Korea. The Korea were collapsing and was going to split. Americans didnt wanted that Korea are falling at hands of SU and comonist China. That was a diplomatic and strategic reason. And yes, this war is excusable for americans.

Your history is a little confused. During World War II, the US produced most of the equipment for the Allied forces becuase they were the only ones who could. While much of it was "sold" to allies under the lend-lease program, the majority of these debts were later forgiven. The US funded the majority of the war effort, as well as the rebuilding that followed. While there were certainly arguments that the rebuilding of Europe and Japan benefited the US by providing markets for US businesses, it's also true that no conquering power had ever done so much to restore the lives of the conquered before. This is why Germany and Japan are among the strongest US allies today.
And sure, when deciding whether to get involved in problems around the world, the US government asks itself what we have at stake in the conflict. It would be irresponsible to do otherwise. Even the wealhy and might United States does not have the capability of getting involved in every conflict on the planet. What better way to choose than to look at where it's most consistent with their own interests?
In fact the US has done a great deal in areas where they have little at stake, from Kosovo to Somalia. And in operations by NATO or the UN, they are always the biggest contributor or money and supplies, even if not of troops.
In fact I think it's a testament to the benevolent history of the United States that people keep asking questions like this. Nobdoy asks why doesn't England help out in Sudan, why dosn't France intervene in the Congo, why doesn't Russia stop the genocide in Cambodia? Nobody expects help from anyone else, but everyone expects help from the United States. Sure, they have made a lot of mistakes and sometimes chosen the worng side, but no other country in history has done so much for so many with so little benefit to itself. God bless America.

Imagine living in Iraq, then imagine living in Afghanistan.
once you've done that, for ecample: imagine being a soccer player. Now you have a very important game coming up, and you lose the game. in the states the reaction might be, better luck next time!!! Over there, there may be no next time for you, because your rotting corpse is being used as dog food! If that doesnt turn your stomach, you're eating a good breakfast at a diner. a Beautiful girl walks in, or Handsome man, and you like what you see!!! they come in and order. they sit down and eat, you contemplate starting a conversation to possibly start a relationship! they stand up, and Detonate themselves killing about 10 people in the diner. leaving body parts strewn about and on your plate. you and only you survive, wondering what could have happened differently! How could i have saved their lives!!! we are called "peacemakers" because it's not about the oil, the cocaine, or anything else. do you have any idea how big our universe is, and why is it that we as humans close off borders to certain nationalities and countries? why cant we live in peace? the Ultimate Goal is procreation! We want as much peace between nations as possible! we can very easily eliminate the entire population in Iraq or Afghanistan, and claim the land as our own! but we don't, we're there to help those who can't help themselves! we are a young race, and when we grow up as humans we are going to have to face the worlds demise, and we cant do it as a single nation, we need to do it a a unified human race! Step 1 Make Peace among nations, Step 2 work together to out-live our time limited earth, and look to other planets for us to make a new home! Our sun is going to Die, and so will this Planet we call home. we're doing our part in Step 1 Making and trying to keep the peace. and You as civilians and other sister nations can start step 2 whether it's inventing new and amazing things, or manning a warehouse shipping aircraft parts, or whatever it is you do....All i'm saying, is use your mind. other's have, such as the Wright Bro's now we have space craft that land using their basic design around aviation! we know it's possible to land safely on the moon and possibly mars, we're getting better at surviving in space. and if we keep at it the sky is going to no longer be the limit! Think big, because we live on such a small planet in this universe and we've been given an eviction notice, a few billion years, but it's still a notice! it's like chess and we're playing against the universe, we're losing the game. but the question is are we willing to Fold or Drag the game out for as long as we possibly can!
With that i end this, i apologize for any grammar issues i'm too busy to proof-read it for grammar.

Cocaine in Afghanistan?
Do you mean heroin?
Anyway, the US never says they were peacekeeper and the government will not be elected if they were not able to supply the US citizen with a steady flow of energy.
It's democracy, remember?
Stop being so hypocrite now, you wouldn't give up your car, your grocery store or your comfort, come on!
If you want some change vote Green Party or Socialist Party, but let the freely elected govt do the job they need to do to keep your whinny mouth shut!
That's you're best answer, but it's not the answer you were looking for i guess!
Have a good day!

First get your facts straight Hero,
The USA Does not choose it fights it acts on those that either attack us or other nations that can not defend themselves. In Iraq I hear about all the oil crap but have not seen any come in to the USA so where is it?
In Afghanistan there is not cocaine it is Poppy refined in Pakistan to Heroin. then sold to the world by drug lords.
I have been in both places fighting for my country and the countrymen and women of those countries that are sick of being repressed by dictators and tyrants. so do yourself a good justice and research your opinions.

if you think that the war in iraq is being fought because USA wants the oil, then you are wrong my friend. there is many things the government doesnt want the people to know, so the majority of the people dont know it. if the us succesfully controls the oil in iraq, it will not be for benefit of the U.S, but for Israel. if u want, read the whole story from the URL i placed below.

Over 80% of Iraqi oil exports are under contract to Compagnie Petrol De Francais. A French oil firm! The products of the poppy fields of Afghanistan are going to mostly European markets. Even the UN and Interpol admit to that, as well as European police agencies.

First of all, realize that this is merely an extension of the power structure in our country - the two party system does a poor job of actually representing anyone. Our culture breeds a feeling of entitlement and all the majority of us do is consume - ideas (look at the recording industry), resources (duh), we even pay farmers not to grow crops.
I do have to say that at the beginning of WWII, we sold war products at a discount to our allies because it took us some time to gear up for war, but other than that, you're absolutely right - and the media zombies are full of themselves. I get mad every time I hear a special about one of them retiring or dying. They think a lot of themselves, and only report what everyone else does - created news, not reported news.
I blog about this and other stuff at my site below, but suffice it to say we need to empower individuals to be able to react to world situations, rather than empower corrupt, biased groups to solve things. It doesn't work.
