Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word made up by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.

my question back to you is- prove to me there isn't. What I do not understand, and please don't take this in an offensive manner, because that is not the way I mean it, at all.
How can anyone say there is no God- Just look at one flower, and you would have to know there is a creator. How could evolution ever make all the people in the world, have different finger prints? DNA is different in everyone. Even if you say that God does not exist, how do you explain the beauty all around you. OK, I know some of you are going to say, you do not see the beauty for the ugliness of life- like untimely deaths, hurricanes, people hating other people etc. However God is still God- He Himself said that He created us to have a relationship with Him- who rebelled Him or us? The answer is us. Can you prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, that your next breath will not be your last? Of course not- but with every breath you take, God is giving you one more chance to choose the truth. Are you willing to look at it through the eyes of faith- because once you do and you come to Christ He will begin to open the eyes of your heart.

The only way to "prove" there is God is in your own soul. If you sincerely want to know, and if you honestly and sincerely desire and ask... you will feelingly experience God in the privacy of your own prayer time. These experiences are highly personal and so like not being able to prove germs exist without using microscopes, you'll never prove God exists without the experience of honest sincere prayer time.

There is absolutely no proof either way that God exists. Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or a fool because to state that God exists would be denying one's faith and to deny God exists would be an act of folly.

For Jews/Christians/Muslims & others, faith in God's existence is much more important than proof of His existence. Without faith, we have nothing.

Yes, God exists!:)

The complexity of our planet points to a deliberate Designer who not only created our universe, but sustains it today.

The human brain's complexity shows a higher intelligence behind it.
The existence of God is a subject that has occupied schools of philosophy and theology for thousands of years. Most of the time, these debates have revolved around all kinds of assumptions and definitions. Philosophers will spend a lifetime arguing about the meaning of a word and never really get there.

To state with certainty that there is no God, a person has to ignore the passion of an enormously vast number of people who are convinced that there is a God.We know God exists because he pursues us. He is constantly initiating and seeking for us to come to him. Unlike any other revelation of God, Jesus Christ is the clearest, most specific picture of God pursuing us.

God does not force us to believe in him, though he could. Instead, he has provided sufficient proof of his existence for us to willingly respond to him. The earth's perfect distance from the sun, the unique chemical properties of water, the human brain, DNA, the number of people who attest to knowing God, the gnawing in our hearts and minds to determine if God is there, the willingness for God to be known through Jesus Christ.

What would you accept as proof?
If I showed you a glowing, giant person, would you then accept?
I doubt it.
You would probably force him to create something .....and even if he did, your doubt would remain.
The one thing that separates us from other living creation is our ability to think, reason and use logic.
Turn to that as 'proof'.
That's what some scientists have done.
The New York Times comments:
“They have Ph.D.’s and occupy positions at some of the better universities. The case they make against Darwinism does not rest on the authority of Scripture; rather, it proceeds from premises that are scientific.”

i don't know that this is proof, but i used to go to church, then got out for a few years. i felt like everything was going wrong and felt like i didn't need religion or God. I didn't know what to believe at one point. Then I became pregnant with my son. I remember praying and asking God, if you are real, you will give me a boy. (funn, but i come from a fam of girls!) and i promised in return i would dedicate myself and my son to him entirely. 2 months later, i go for my ultrasound and the dr. told me it was going to be a boy! i asked her how sure she was and she said she was willing to bet her license on it!...So as promised i returned to church and i have to say everything in my life has been great.

In life you go through so much. and you feel like your world is out of control. It helps to have that extra someone out there who will listen and help you if you call on Him. I hope this helped.

P.S. It sounds like an uninteresting book, but read the bible and you'll find a lot of your answers there....also...www.joelosteen.com or org?...i think this could help too.

That is the essential question. Really, the one all of us should be asking, "Why should we believe?".

I don't think you'll likely find a rational and well supported answer. All they will say is about a feeling, that you are somehow inadequate for not having.
