The human body can go only minuets without oxygen to the brain before it begins to die...although there have been case in which people have been pulled from icy waters ( icy being the key word here) that have been revived after as long as1 hour. But this is very rare.

. I am sorry, but there is no way a person can live a couple of hrs after being dead. I belive the most a persons brain can live without oxegen is 30 minutes and then he/she will have problems with his or her brain. They might be mental retarded. To bring the person back you would have to do the hiemlic . You would have to take a short course on that. It is very important that a person learn the hiemlic.I could'nt really tell you how to do it, you would have to learn it while watching somebody.Once you have started the hiemlic you can't stop until help arrives. So dont start unless you think you could keep going. That is very importent.

I hope you mean, how many minutes not hours, cause no one can survive for hours being dead and brought back. I know you can go for I believe 10 to 15 minutes without breathing and survive, and that also depends on your age, weight, do you smoke? Now newborn babies can survive much longer, lots of babies have died and been brought back after not breathing for 20 minutes. Then thier are people like the famous case of Terry Shivo who was dead for I believe 20 to 30 minutes and she lived the rest of her live as a vegatable, untill her husband pulled the plug on her, thank-god, all in all its not a good out come for anyone to stop breathing and die, their are many many bad things that happen to our bodies and our brain.

You cannot bring a person back to life after hours. You have a few minutes to get someone breathing again before there would be major brain damage.

A dead person is dead and cannot be bought back to life. Dead you see - dead! that's the clue a 'dead' person. Not a not breathing, or sleeping person. A dead person.
perhaps Mumm-Ra, the Ever-Living could give you some tips.
