Ok so i'm a scene kid and i here other scene kids referring to it quite often.I know it's a way of combing your hair,but can someone explain it to me.i think i have an idea but am not entirely sure.Thanks everyone.

It was all the rage in the 1960s-70s to make "big hair". Just ask any older country music singer! They combed the underside of the hair all over [or partially] to make their hair appear fuller.

back combing aka teasing is basically just taking a teasing comb and a handful of hair and starting at the scalp where you hair grows from just brush the opposite way you normally would.. heres a random pic of someone back combing their hair.. shes using a round brush but normally you would use a comb

combing it from the bottom of your head to the top! instead of the top to the bottom..

the technical meaning of "back combing" is....simply put..Teasing or ratting.
