On this website as well as when on your door step (or anywhere else) JW's always post scriptures and make scriptural references. While others simply make assumptions and try to distort JW's beliefs. JW's are confident in what they are saying and always use the scriptures to back them up. Sometimes you have seen someone post like 30 scriptures just to prove one point. Others just reference you to some website that will give you false info about the witnesses. Rather than giving you the truth, which can only be found in the bible or in bible based publications, which is the sole source of JW's information.
"All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work." (2Timothy 3:16,17)

Once agin all these negative responses and no scriptures to back them up. Give a scripture where Satan used a scripture to prove what he was saying. Unless ofcourse Satan told you this personally himself. The bible will never contradict itself. So if you ever see where this is happening then you are obviously misinterpreting it.

JW's dont prophesy anything. They strictly use the bible. And I know about 144,000 and what you just said is completely inaccurate. More than that will survive armageddon. That is the number of those with heavenly hope.

You cannot believe that Jesus is god just because he is called god. Satan is also called god. The god of this system of things. But neither one of them is evr called Almighty God. That is only used to describe the most high who is Jesus' father. The one who sent Jesus down to Earth as a ransom sacrifice.
Is God always superior to Jesus? This article explains.

The WatchTower is a bible based publication. If you read one you will see that there are many scriptural references in there and you can read those scriptures yourself with your own bible. Jehovah's Witnesses ONLY follow the bible.

The Watch Tower is a tool that is used to go along with the bible. All the ideas in it come from the bible. So in that sense, JW's still get all info from the bible. And why would you purposely quote things from 100 years ago. What hasnt been revised in the last 100 years? Everything has including the constitution. Theres no sense in using outdated information to try to make JW's look bad. Just remember that the JW organization is not a company out to make a profit which is common among many churches today. Holding fundraisers, owning other properties other than kingdom halls and so forth is not something the the JW organization practices.

The New World Translation is exactly what the title says. Simply translates the Hebrew and Greek scriptures into modern terms. If you look at other older bibles you will find the name Jehovah. The NWT still has the word Lord in it so you cannot say that we just put Jehovah in its place everywhere in the bible. You can conclude from this that it is other bibles that have been corrupted over time, not the NWT. The NWT is the closest you can get to the Dead Sea Scrolls which is what the bible actually was before it was put in book form. The name Jehovah was removed from these bibiles to hide the true name of the most high. The reason? Satan the Devil.

So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. (Revelation 12,9)

Yes.
Jehovah's Witnesses consider the Bible to be the only infallible inspired means of determining God's will and purposes. Sadly, anti-Witnesses assert or imply that Jehovah's Witnesses insist upon a particular edition or translation, but for over 130 years Jehovah's Witnesses have encouraged every adherent, student, and householder to use his own copy of the bible, and use it often.
Jehovah's Witnesses consider the Holy Scriptures as the final word in all matters of worship, and elevate the bible over the human traditions which pass as worship for too many humans.
(Matthew 15:3,9) [Jesus] said to them: “Why is it you also overstep the commandment of God because of your tradition? ...It is in vain that they keep worshiping [God], because they teach commands of men as doctrines.
(Mark 7:8) Letting go the commandment of God, you hold fast the tradition of men.
(Colossians 2:8) Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry you off as his prey through the philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary things of the world and not according to Christ

Yes, they do quote Scripture, and your sample Watchtower link presents only one side of the character of Jesus Christ, and those still on the "milk" of the Word would never see Jesus' divinity since the WT downplays it so well.
But the Bible is not the sole source of Jehovah's Witness' information. The Watchtower provides its interpretation, and they see the Bible through the colored lenses of that publication as any other religion/denomination sees the scriptures through their own theology. Nothing wrong with that, but JWs just will not admit it. Neither does the quoting of specific texts take more precedence than a weight of other evidence gathered indirectly.
But go ahead, believe what you want to believe. Just don't ask me to follow you down the Watchtower path.

Anyone can quote scriptures. Is the quote accurate??
Lets look at your assertion regarding “JW's don’t prophesy anything.”
Watchtower April 1, 1972 “ Who is this prophet? ... He had a "prophet" to warn them. This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as lnternational Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah's Christian witnesses ..."
How about that the Watchtower says JWs are prophets. Now lets see if there have been prophecies.
In 1897 "Our Lord, the appointed King, is now present, since October 1874," Studies in the Scriptures, Vol. 4
In 1918 "Therefore we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old, particularly those named by the Apostle in Hebrews 11, to the condition of human perfection." Millions Now Living Will Never Die, page 89
So much for the assertation "JW's don’t prophesy anything." There are many more, from Watchtower literature, search for yourself and you will find them.
Will you come to the same conclusion if you studied the bible alone with out Watchtower literature?
"From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude...They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such 'Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago..." The Watchtower, August 15, 1981.
Sounds like bible alone study does not = bible study with the Watchtower literature as different conclusions are obtained.

I think it's important to realize that Jehovah's Witnesses use a custom translation of the Bible, one written specifically to reinforce the teachings of the Watchtower Society—and one that has changed over the years as the teachings of the Society have also changed.
I'm not slandering here, just stating the facts.
I encourage Jehovah's Witnesses readers to do five minutes of research on the New World Translation and the men who were responsible for the Greek/Hebrew to English translations. Who were they? What were their credentials? What authority did they have to add/remove/change words from the original authors?

Yes, they quote scriptures and that's great, but they miss some of them. For example:
According to them - John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. They stop there and do not find out what kind of "a god" Jesus is, which is unfortunate.
Jesus accepted worship (only God should be worshiped. Compare this to how an angel responses to being worshiped in Rev 22:8-9):
Matthew 8:2
Matthew 28:17
Hebrews 1:6
Jesus forgave sins - Only God can forgive sins:
Matthew 9:2
He is called Almighty God:
Isaiah 9:6
All of God's fullness dwells in Him:
Colossians 1:19
In Revelation, notice how sometimes God says, "I am the alpha and omega", and then notice how sometimes Jesus says, "I am the alpha and omega"
Jesus was fully human on earth. Jesus is fully God. Both are true.
Also check out:
1 Timothy 3:16
Hebrews 1:8,10
Philippians 2:5-8
Acts 20:28
It's unfortunate that Jehovah's Witnesses do not worship Christ as God, so their Jesus must be a false Christ and they do not know the truth.
P.S. In regard to "Give a scripture where Satan used a scripture to prove what he was saying." Check out Matthew 4:6. Satan knows the Bible too - of course he twists it like he did here.
P.P.S. The article you mentioned above is more about what I'm talking about. Jesus humbled himself to be human while on earth. This article focuses on that and that only.
Philippians 2:6-10 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: (7) But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (9) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: (10) That at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Are you bowing to Jesus like the Bible tells you to here?
Satan may be called god, but don't dismiss it so fast. What is Jesus "god" of? (Seriously, think about it ) God is also called God and the verses I mentioned above are not just calling Jesus God. Please read them - thanks.
Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Yes. I've noticed.
Sometimes there are far too many scriptures. It discourages reading them.
Still, its a good thing to show some references.

Satan also quoted Scripture to back up his point of view, So I don't see that quoting scripture is any indication of legitimacy. Also, every denomination of Protestantism quotes scripture to back up their various interpretations, most of which are obviously wrong, since they conflict with the interpretations of the other denominations. Truth can't conflict with truth.
