Tell you parents to have an opened mind when with him. If he dresses or act differently, but is a good guy, they need to look past that. However, if he wants to continue this relationship with you, he needs to change his actions just a little. If he likes you, than he can be willing to hold back while in the presents of your parents.
I don't swear in front of my boyfriend's parents, they HATE it so I have to hold back. Where as he can say anything he likes in front of my parents because they don't care. It's just little gives and takes that go in the normal dating territory. I'm willing to change a little to gain the respect of his parents so they understand that I respect them.
If things still don't change, ask for their opinions why. They might have a bad feeling about something that love is making you blind to.
Good luck!

Why have they only met him once in 2 and a half months? They can't make a good determination about the guy if they met him once, and they didn't even get to talk to him.
Try getting them together again. Go to dinner. Give them a chance to talk to him. Then, find out what they think. If they still don't like him, get specifics of WHY they don't like him. Maybe they see something you don't see.

hon, you can't be madly in love with someone after only a few weeks... falling in love is stated so because it takes time to "fall"... i'm sure you like him quite a lot and care.
your family is apparently being snooty, or maybe they have good reason for their disapproval? do you think they have sound reasons for their feelings?
you can't change anyone else' mind.
talk to them and tell them what you said here -- "it's really getting to me because i value their opinion, but also really like h im"... maybe that will start up a conversation, and you can better weigh the odds.
i hope it works out.

I hope this helps. Explain to your parents how much you feel for him. Ask them to get them to k now him more. Tell them the bond you feel with him. IF they look into their hearts, they'll see they'll want their daughter to love and cherish someone she loves then someone that you wont feel a connection with. Also, ask them what they want in a date for you. By the way, im only 13 and have never had a date but i can connect in a way :)

If you like him and he makes you happy then it really doesn't matter what your family thinks. In the mean time talk to your family and find out why they don't like him and if it is something that you should be concerned about then be concerned then but not before.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. You're considering dumping a guy just cause your family doesn't like him? No! If you like him, and if you get on well, then stay with him, your family's opinion be damned. Either they'll come around, or they won't. As long as you're happy it doesn't matter that they think.

just because they think hes a sleaze ball in not what i call a really good reason not to like him, i would ask for more veiled reasons. then do pros and cons but if you really truly think this guy you should stay with him no matter what they should say. try to let your family get to know him better. :)

I don't think you should dump him on the fact of how your family feels about him. It's all comes down to how your feeling about him. If you care about him, then be with him. I would'nt let your families thoughts on him change how you feel.
They need to get to know him better, then say how they
feel.

Who's dating him? You or your family? They gotta understand that you chose the right guy for you, not for them.
