Lately, anything that I eat that is spicy seems to make my throat and chest burn. I used to eat incredibly spicy things, but I haven't had a taste for that ever since I started eating healthier. months ago.

Now, it burns! IT BURNS!

What's going on?

two things...
1. your taste buds have become sensitized to spicy foods again... they've healed???
2. the burn sounds like heart burn, which may imply you're eating a lot of carbs and a lot at a sitting.

That's what spicy food is supposed to do. Sounds like maybe your sense of taste is becoming sharper due to the healthier lifestyle, perhaps?
