My wife is most probably divorcing me, she loves me but WILL do it (it's difficult to explain why, she kind of wants me to act in a way that goes against my beliefs). We've been separated for 2 years and I feel very lonely often. Cause of work I move often, and don't have many female friends my age. But the question is, if divorce happens, would it be so wrong to find a female friend? Not to have either sex or even a relationship, just to go out.

(please don't answer to try and work it out, cause I am trying, the question is if it happens, thanks).

Oh, I know the head of the question says DATING, but I don't know if finding someone just to share moments like going to movies and stuff can be called dating.

Well, for those who are asking, she is kind of against my religion, she used to have the same beliefs, now she says if I don't quit it's over.

I think companionship is the exact word. Why not male companionship? Well, male friends are different, and I don't feel incomplete in that sense. Also, for a female friend you can invite dinner, buy the tickets, and feel you're kind of useful.

You're tiptoeing around what she wants you to do that is against your beliefs but I suppose that's your business. The thing is it's hard to answer because I suspect your question has something to do with these mysterious 'beliefs'.

Everyone is going to answer based on their own beliefs and tell you it's fine but Is having a female friend somehow against these 'beliefs'?

I think you deserve companionship even if you are divorced. The wife would get really jealous, but if you don't see yourself ever getting back together, I wouldn't worry about it.

it sounds like you want companionship and there's nothing at all wrong with that. Good luck.

If your wife devorces you, there's nothing to stop you from finding someone else, you just have to find a way to get mentally unmarried.

That's really a dumb question. If she divorces you, why would it be wrong for you to have friends, date, or even screw other women??
