i have a digital camera and was given a memory card for it from a friend. i have taken photos but when i went to look at them the other day they were gone. i know i did not delete them because they were of my nephews first birthday. can anyone help??

you might have the camera set to internal memory storage which is usually accesible in the camera menu. try plugging the camera itself in the computer with no memory card in it. this is the only thing i can think of that might cause you to have this problem.

beware of gifts from friends.
it may be none functional or not formated which is why the pics would be saved to internal memory - assuming it has some.
