My Church (SBC-AFFILLIATED) makes abbreviated versions of the Bible and sends them to members of the Armed Forces. Just Psalms and Proverbs from the OT, and the entire NT. Someone claimed that their former Pastor declared it to be wrong to print partial Bibles.

Do you think it is? And do you know of any Churches that teach that as doctrine?

I don't believe it's wrong to send out just New Testaments, or just the Psalter (Psalms only) or just one book of the Bible or any combination thereof. It's the same text.

What I think is happening here is that somebody's preacher went a little overboard on the verse in Revelations that says nothing should be added or taken away from the Word of God. But as Revelations was written as a separate entity from the rest of the Scriptures -- as were all the other books -- I doubt the intention of that verse means that we can't publish one book or a collection of these books separately.

Some fundamentalists just go to the extreme.

Do I currently know of 'churches' that claim the act is wrong to print N.T. plus Psalms & Proverbs? No.
Warning through. The scriptural old testament is not Genesis-Malachi, but the law of Moses. (Simple test method; can one have the law of Moses before Moses was born (Exodus 2))?
The law of Moses is referred to as the old testament (synonym) 2 Cor. 3:13-14 KJV.

Having read your recent questions and answers, I'm not at all surprised you belong to a church that would edit the Bible to its liking. You're full of rage and judgement, not things that Christ endorsed. They must have cut those parts out already and replaced them with things like sending people who don't think like you to other countries, and how to hate Muslims, Catholics, and gays.
Actually, I'm not sure they're giving you a real Bible at all. You may want to look into that.

IT IS NOT WRONG TO SEND THE PSALMS AND PROVERBS AND THE NEW TESTAMENT TO OUR TROOPS

WHAT IS WRONG IS CHANGING THE WORDS OR OMITTING VERSES AND CHAPTERS OUT OF THE BIBLE.

THERE ARE SO MANY FALSE GOSPELS OUT THERE NOW YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL. THEY OMIT A LOT OF VERSES AND TWIST THE WORDING AROUND SO IT DOES NOT EVEN MEAN THE SAME.

THE KING JAMES BIBLE IS THE ONE OUR NATION WAS FOUNDED ON. IT IS TRIED AND TRUE.

There is nothing wrong with that. As long as its God's word.
