Last night, my wife and I ordered pizza to be delivered. Over an hour later, the meal finally arrives and after they leave, I realize they did not bring the cheeze sticks, did not bring the bbq sauce for the COLD chicken, and we got a 2 litter soda instead of a 20oz. I called back and they said they didn't even get the order for the cheesesticks, which I clearly said and repeated twice when I placed the order. So we didn't pay for them and instead of going through the whole thing with them I just hung up. My wife called them back and demanded the cheesesticks and when they brought them (2 hours after placing the initial order) and said "That'll be $3.85 please" she said "Oh, we tipped the first guy $4.00, that should cover it." It was really funny at the time, but I worked fast food for a long time and understand how that stuff happens. I couldn't have done something like that. When I did work fast food, people flew off at me like that all the time. What would you have done?

I repeated the order back to the new guy who confirmed that's what he had.

And my wife wasn't rude to them, like yelling and being a b*tch or anything, but made it clear that their service was unacceptable.

lemme tell you my story

i ordered a chicken sandwich along with other food for other co workers

an hr later my bread and lettuce only sandwich arrives= they forgot the freaking chicken!!!!!!!!
someone else had a messed up order
i called and asked for it to be replaced, 30 min later it arrived
i checked it- my sandwich was ok, the other replacement was still wrong, i sent that one back (other guy ate the 1st one bcse he was starving)
i called the manager
we order all the time and you mess up alot ! that's bs
he said well i can give you 1 credit for a sandwich
i said NO 2 credits for 2 sandwiches for making me wait 2 hrs for a sandwich that ended really dry and blah anyway

i got my 2 just like that

they are in a business where customer service can make or break them... they should want to please you.
stand up to them and "have it your way"
lmao
mistakes happen but the customer is always right....

First of all, I wouldn't have paid for the cold pizza.
Second, I wouldn't have tipped for late and/or cold food.
Third, I think your wife was wrong to call and demand the cheesesticks that you didn't pay for. Mistakes happen. They should have repeated the whole order back to you and that should have been your opportunity to catch any mistakes. If you didn't make them repeat the order back to you, that's your mistake. You didn't pay for them, you didn't get them -- deal with it!
Fourth, If your wife worked in fast food for one day, she would never treat fast food workers like that again!!
Finally, Um, hello, have you ever seen the movie Waiting????? There's no telling what's in your cheesesticks!!! (just kidding)

I personally would have stood my ground. If they failed to deliver your order you should have demanded that they deliver everything that they missed out, for free, right now.

If they refuse, tell them you're coming down there to get your order and will put off every customer that arrives until they give you what you deserve.

I think you're wife was right in what she did and the fact that the second guy asked for a tip is ridiculous! Never order from there again!

Haha! You are not spineless for refusing to pay the guy who brought your cheesesticks. I would of gotten mad and demanded the pizza for free or refused it entirely.

It was ok of you refusing to pay, but if you tipped the first deliverer $4.00, that's his money now, sorry. I really don't see anything "funny" about that, as mistakes do happen.

I would have made a complaint and sent flyers through everybody's door saying what a bad company it is and try to encourage them to make complaints too.

Fair is fair.

Well, yes, you are, but not because of the cheese stick incident.
