It all depends on what you are trying to do.

Kodak Easyshare cameras have a kodak software that is fairly easy to use and allows you to share photos online with friends.

Other programs that are nice are Adobe Photoshop, this will cost money though.

There is also Picasa. its a free program found at http://picasa.google.com/ It does photo editing in a simple way.

hope that helps.

Adobe Photoshop is best, but it's a professional tool and has a lot of 'bells & whistles' that will take a lot of time to learn. Plus it's expensive.

At the other end of the cost spectrum is GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) which is free. For free it's not bad!

In between there are some less-serious versions of Photoshop. Photoshop Elements and Photoshop Deluxe. These are simpler, cheaper programs but they still do all you probably need. They often come free with a camera or scanner, so you might even know someone who has one but never uses it.

Just about every picture you take will benefit from some touch-up in a photo editing program, even if it's just adjusting brightness and contrast and levels!

Yep, like they all said above, sheer POWER is Adobe Photoshop. But it's so danged powerful you could, as I've heard it described, "take a lifetime" to learn all the bells and whistles. Plus, it's expensive as heck.

Then, there's GIMP. It's free. Danged near as powerful as Photoshop. Runs up short on documentation. Danged hard to download the documentation. Danged hard to read and understand the documentation.

Then there's PaintshopPro, by Corel. About a tenth the price of Photoshop. Similar, somewhat, capabilities...easier to use.

Then there's Paint...and all the others listed above. And you may even get a freebie that comes with yer all-in-one printer (like HP solutions that came with mine...)

If you want true ease-of-use with very peeuuunee power but one heckuva (THE BEST in my opinion) slide show, the pick of the litter is Picasa2 (free from Google)

The easiest one I've used is the Kodak Easy Share software.

Photoshop is good - but take it from someone who's still learning - it's not that easy.

Photoshop is not easy to use to a newcomer. Try a free program called IrfanView 4.00. Very easy to use and has many functions.

Yeah! I sure do. I sure Irfanview. It is freeware and and allows plug-ins. It loads and unloads fairly quickly. I use it mainly to review just downloaded pictures from the camera to the PC and perform quick editing. It is easy and allows cropping and re-orientation of the picture. You will find it at twocows. And if I am not mistaken he already has his own URL. Yahoo it.

It will even allow you to make slide-shows of your pictures and screen-savers. Check it out. Best of all it is freeware!

I am just wanting to tell you to NOT get Kodak Easyshare. It is good for a few months and then it starts slowing down your computer, it freezes all the times, and it takes forever to do anything with your pictures. It also makes your pictures huge compared to other sites, so you have to send them somewhere else to resize them before you can add them to facebook or myspace. Just a warning for you. Good luck!

paint shop pro is a great progam for editing your photos if you know how its easy.
you can buy it online or at the store. I suggest buying at the store because on the internet some can be viruses.
