Was reading the box of angelfood cake the other day and it says add water, but what would happen if I added raspberry gingerale? I know you can add like dr pepper to some cake mixes and it turns out great, but I'm hesitant to try it without knowing if it'll be okay. Anyone know?

Angelfood Cake is not like regular cakes. It is made primarily of meringue and confectioners' sugar, and the carbonation in the gingerale would copletely destroy the cake.

Instead, add some kind extract for flavor.

It should be fine but it may evaporate more while baking the cake so watch for the cake geting done more quickly than normal just in case.

I've never tried it myself but don't see why you couldn't'. Just take the fizz out and you should be okay.
