DFDS Scandinavian seaways didn't have their ferries from Germany any more and they were the only company, which offered services to UK from Germany .
The "nearest " port is Esbjerg in Denmark, there exists a service to Harwich ( see : http://www.dfds.co.uk/DSW/EN )

Have a nice day

There are cruises that go that way a few times a year, but they are super expensive. See http://www.cruisecompete.com/ . Freight shipping companies might also be an option, if you are in Hamburg ask around at the various shipping companies whether they could take you along. It won't be cheap though.

If you don't have much money and don't want to fly, you can take the bus and ride the EuroChunnel service. Not much to see though. Or go via Brussels and take the Eurostar train. Very nice!

Amsterdam to London by ferry is also cool.

confident, you could take a deliver to France and a prepare to Frankfurt. besides the undeniable fact that, there are no longer any regularly scheduled crossings any further. perhaps only as quickly as each and every couple weeks. and that they are very costly. assume it to take 8 days to get from NYC to Germany. extremely, you ought to fly. only white knuckle it for 8 hours. I advise to make specific you get an aisle seat provided that's extra handy to stand up and down and it would not experience so claustrophobic. under no circumstances settle for a center seat.
